Roxtos love for Elei burned like a flame that couldn't be tamed, meanwhile Eleis heart was torn into two.

Her spirit yearned for aonung, the bioluminescent dots on her skin started to dim, it was almost like she was dying without her mate. But her mind starved for roxtos affection, touch, and taste.

Elei dug her toes into the warm brown sand while breathing in the crisp air of awa'atlu. Her dark purple loin cloth rustled as the wind blew ever so gently. As she began to walk her brown beaded top made clicking sounds with every step she took.

A small smile crept up onto her face when she seen two ilus dancing in the water. "Roxto why don't we ever do cute stuff like that?" She questioned him while pointing at the ilu. Roxto threw his head back and laughed, "because you are not that great of a swimmer yet tìyawn" his smiled dropped when he seen aonung approaching them.

Roxto wrapped his arm around the forest girl not caring about the few people that were staring. Aonungs body tensed up at the sight of another man grabbing his mate. "Elei we need to talk so meet me at my marui soon" he said ignoring roxtos death glare.

Eleis heart raced just from his voice, she shifted her weight onto her other leg "oh ok I'll see you soon then" her voice trembled slightly showing her discomfort. Roxto cocked his head to the side, "she's busy today so maybe another day" 

Aonungs eyes shifted over to the metkyina man "you do not speak for her"  he sneered. Roxto removed his arm from around Elei, "I can and I will" he smartly replied. Aonungs nose twitched as pure rage began to blind his eyes. "She can make her own decisions without you roxto" Aonung voiced while taking a few steps towards his friend. Roxto growled lowly trying to seem intimidating. "She doesn't know what she wants" he spat.

A small smirk crept onto Aonungs lips, "if you would shut up then maybe you would see she's perfectly capable of knowing what she wants"

Roxto hissed loudly grabbing the attention of a few villagers, Elei closed her eyes and muttered curse words under her breath before grabbing Aonungs arm dragging him away from roxto.

"Why do you keep provoking him?" She asked as the pair made their way into Aonungs Marui. "He acts like you're his mate and we both know that tis not true" the man angrily stomped over to the fire before crouching down and warming up his hands.

Elei rolled her eyes before sitting down next to him, "he just truly cares about me aonung? Stop being so insecure" she murmured while staring at him intensely burning holes into the side of his face. Aonung rubbed his chin "our souls have been intertwined for eternity and you call me insecure for wanting to kill a man that touches my woman?" He muttered trying not to raise his voice.

Elei stared at him for a brief second before looking away "you sleep next to another woman every single night yet you think roxto is the villain for loving me?" Eleis lips trembled at the thought of how aonung betrayed her trust.

Aonungs looked over at his mate "iya is not my woman Elei, you're my woman!" He shouted while grabbing her knee gently, "I- I don't believe you" Elei whispered trying her best not to cry. Her heart hurt so bad, it felt like it would snap any moment now.

Aonung grabbed both of her hands, "look at me my love" he murmured begging for her attention. Eleis eyes flicked up towards his as she waited for him to speak. Aonung licked his dry lips before sucking in some air "I have talked to my mother. She knows about us, na'tey. She agreed to step back so that you can become the clans new tsahik." He explained.

Eleis yellow eyes moved from one of his eyes than to the other. "Ma aonu what?" She whispered with a hint of excitement in her tone. Aonung smiled a little before kissing her hands "we no longer have to hide my yawne" he murmured.

Elei smiled nearly showing all of her teeth, "this is great! Yeah? Right?" Her voice cracked a bit from how thrilled she was. Aonung chuckled as he nodded "this is amazing my love it really is" the spark in his eyes returned the moment he seen how happy she was.

Eleis smile faded into a frown when she remembered something. Aonung cupped her face with both of his hands "what is it my love?" He asked. warm tears rolled down her cheeks "i have to tell roxto about this" she sniffled.

Aonungs face scrunched up "he will know when he sees us together my love don't worry" he reassured her before placing a sweet loving kiss on her lips. Elei pulled away "aonung I- I um" she trailed off not knowing how to tell her mate the news.

Aonung tilted his head to the side while looking at her with the most serious look she's ever seen. "You what Elei?"

The girl closed her eyes and swallowed hard "roxto and I have been seeing eachother" she whispered before reopening her eyes. Aonungs blinks sped up as he tried to process what she just said "seeing eachother as in what ?" He asked slowly.

Elei shifted uncomfortably before telling him "as in the way you have seen other women" she whispered not daring to take her eyes off of the man.

Aonungs face turned stone cold when he realized what had been going on between his best friend and his mate. He stood up and walked over to his shelf to grab his spear. As soon as he began to walk out the door Elei rose to her feet and looked around "ma aonu where you going?" Her mouth went dry as many thoughts filled her mind.

Aonung paused and looked over his shoulder at his mate. "I'm going to kill him"
