Days have passed since the incident. Elei refused to talk to aonung even when he would touch her back or thigh during lessons. She would just push his hands off as if she was grossed out by him.
He would see her at dinner but she would always get up and leave when she seen him approaching her.
Aonung grew impatient, he wanted to apologize because for one time in his life he was actually sorry.
He was walking along the shore when he saw Elei sitting down with her legs pulled tightly into her chest.
"Hey monkey girl aren't you supposed to be swinging through trees?" He smirked down at her while waiting for a response.
Elei dropped her head onto her knees and mumbled to herself. Anoung sat down next to her "what?"
The girl finally turned to look at him "I said get away from me fish face"
Aonung chuckled and shook his head. "No not until you forgive me"
Elei furrowed her brows together, "fine I forgive you" she hoped her words would finally make him leave but boy was she wrong.
The corners of his lips turned down as he nodded feeling achieved. "Let's go on a little adventure"
Elei sighed and got up to follow him, "are you going to get me killed this time?"
The metikyina boy laughed loudly while placing a hand on his stomach, "agh I must be asking the wrong sister?"
Elei slapped his shoulder "skawng"
The two of them rode on their ilus until they approached a decent sized rock.
Elei placed a hand on her forehead and pretended to faint "oh aonung baby this is soo pretty ugh"
He stared at her "you're weird you know that?" He told her as he shifted in his spot to get comfy.
Elei pressed her back against the cold, smooth, wet rock. She giggled "whatever dumbass"
Aonung turned to look at her after hearing the foreign word "what does that mean?"
The girl turned to face him and was met with his ocean like eyes, her lips parted as she took in all of his features. She noticed he blinked slower when he was intrigued or confused. "It's earth people talk, um it means like stupid"
His lips formed into a O once he finally understood. He scooted his body closer to her until their skin was brushing against eachother, "can you teach me more of this sky people talk?"
Elei bit her lower lip to hide her smile, "yeah but only if you teach me how to sign a few words"
Aonung nodded quickly "what do you want to know?"
Elei turned to face to sky because she felt her face burning and she didn't want the boy to notice. "Umm how do you say I want you?"
Aonung scrunched his face up "did you find a boy you like here?" He was taken aback by her asking him how to sign that.
Elei placed her hands underneath her head, "it's none of your business fish lips now hurry teach me"
They both taught each other words in different languages that they knew before they had to head back home.
They both walked out of the water and noticed the entire clan was heading to dinner. Aonung stepped in front of Elei "come sit with me tonight"
Elei fiddled with her fingers and looked away from him, "I'm not feeling hungry aon"
