The seven kids sat at their usual spot by the water. Kiri smiled over at loak "the ocean has blessed you with a gift brother" Elei nodded in agreement "I wish i could've been there that's totally insane cuz!" She then fist bumped Loak.

Loak went on describing the tulkun he met, "it had a missing fin like a stump on the left side" Kiri and tuk frowned as he described it. Kiri pouted "poor tulkun" in that moment aonung and roxto made eye contact before looking back at Loak "payakan"

Loak furrowed his brows together "what?"

Aonung shifted his eyes over to tsireya "it's payakan" he repeated. Loak tilted his head and asked "who's payakan bro?"

Roxto cleared his throat and squatted down "he's a young bull who went rogue, outcast.."

Aonung nodded in agreement "he's outcast Loak he's a killer he killed other Navi and tulkun"
Loak shook his head "no no he's no killer he saved my life!" He tried explaining but the group looked unconvinced.

Tsireya scooted closer to him and placed a hand on his forearm "Loak you are lucky to be alive" she seemed as if she was scared for him, especially since she had a small crush on the boy. Loak moved causing her hand to fall off, "no he saved my life, he's my friend I'm telling you guys"

Everyone fell silent. Elei sucked in some air "Loak may be a idiot but he's no liar" neteyam stood up and walked behind Loak placing his hands onto his shoulder, "my baby bro the mighty warrior who faced a killer tulkun and lived to tell about it eh?" Loak shoved his hands off of him and began to walk away "you guys aren't listening!"

Kiri turned to watch him walk off, she screamed "Loak! Come back" tuk then chimed in "I was listening Loak!"

Elei shook her head "you guys are so rude, cutting him off telling him shit he said wasn't true" neteyams eyes widened. Aonung stared at her not knowing what to say. She noticed and snapped at him "what the fuck are you staring at barnacle face!"

Neteyam stood up and yanked her up with him "okaayy time to go, tuk kiri let's go" aonung was confused as to why she was so mad at him, He thought they made up yesterday. He got up and followed her. "Hey what's your problem forest freak?" Elei turned around and looked him up and down "really? That same loser ass joke"

Roxto caught up to them and stood in front of Kiri. Elei began to storm off from the group. "It must be her lady month" neteyam joked. Kiri scoffed "you are soo mean teyam"

Tuk jumped up and down while pointing over to the other kids getting lessons "Kiri Kiri I want to go make friends please pretty please!" She begged her big sister. Kiri chuckled and nudged roxto "come with" all three of them began to walk away. Neteyam and tsireya looked at each other in confusion "hey neteyam let's go teach the kids how to breathe! It should be fun!" Tsireya exclaimed before dragged the eldest sully boy along with her leaving aonung and Elei.

Once they were far away Elei burst into a fit of giggles, aonung kept the serious look on his face, "what is so funny?" He questioned. Elei rolled her eyes "it was to throw them off duh! If anyone finds out we like each other your dad would boil you alive and mine would send me to the ash people"

A smirk crept up onto his lips "agh was I too obvious ma love?" She nodded and looked down at the sand to hide her pink cheeks. Aonung admired her newly done braids "who did your hair?" Elei looked back up at him "my mom who else?" She giggled. She stared at his braids that were pulled into a high bun, her eyes then moved to every unique stripe on his face.

"Just making sure, it looks beautiful" he wanted to mentally punch himself, he never had to try and interest a girl before. usually they'd all flock to him because he's the chiefs son, and the next olo'eytkan. The small girl fiddled with her four fingers "thank you ma aonu" he smiled at the new nickname she gave him.

He looked over her head and saw his friends approaching him, his throat went dry at the sight of them. He quickly looked down "today we are going to the spirit tree soo you should head home and rest before the long swim"

Eleis eyes squinted as the bright light from the sky blinded her eyes for a millisecond. "You're trying to get rid of me already?" She grinned. The boy shook his head "no trust me if we could go to our secret spot so I could feel you on me I would bu-" His sentence was cut short by his friends greeting him.

"Aonung come on you have to tame a skimwing remember?"
"Yeah your dad said you got two more tries"
"Yeah or you won't be future olo'eytkan"
"I tamed mine earlier this morning!"

They all rushed him with a bunch of questions all at once Aonung sighed and looked away from Elei.

His friends just seem annoying, I'd drown myself if I had to hang with them for the rest of my life. One of his friends noticed me so I turned around and began walking home. "Hey look guys it's the other four fingered freak!" A guy shouted.

I felt a hand grab onto mine so I yanked it back aggressively turning to face who it was, "back the hell up dude" I told this one idiot who had short cut curly hair, he looked a little bit like roxto but their personalities definitely didn't match.

"Awe the alien with the little baby voice!" A different boy teased while circling me. "You're not a real navi" the boy in front of me kept repeating the same used up line. He tried to reach for my hand but this time he was yanked back by aonung. "Don't touch her without her permission again" he growled while standing in front of me.

All I could see was his light blue, toned back. It was a sight I can't lie. "Aonung but sh-" He was cut off by aonung "I said don't touch her, now shall I bring this to my father?" I smiled at him defending me.

"No sorry"
"Yeah my bad"
"Sorry to the girl"

They all apologized in unison before going on about their day.

Once they were far enough aonung turned to face me, his breathtaking ocean like eyes made me weak in the knees. "Thank you aonu"
A small smile crept up on his lips "anything for the love of my life" he winked.

My cheeks began to heat up so I looked down at the sand to avoid his gaze. "Look at me Elei" he whispered while placing a finger under my chin and tilting my head up so I could look into his eyes. He smirked while looking down at me. "I could get used to seeing you like this"

I furrowed my brows in confusion until I realized his nasty ass joke I smacked his arm and jokingly hissed "ew skawng you're so gross" I giggled and began to walk.

Aonung trotted beside me "hey you coming with us to the cove of ancestors at eclipse?" I pursed my lips thinking of an answer. "Um maybe it depends on if my parents will let me"
Once we arrived at my Marui we both stared at each other awkwardly.

Aonung looked around before leaning down and kissing me. Our lips melted together like a perfect puzzle piece, a soft moan escaped my lips before he pulled away, "I've been dying to do that all day you have no idea" he chuckled while walking off "I'll see you at eclipse!" He shouted as he waved.

I giggled and tucked a braid behind my ear that was slightly raised, "okay! Bye see you then"
