Elei sat around the fire with the other ceremonial dancers as they waited until it was their time to dance. Iya plopped down next to the forest girl, "you should leave" she coldly mumbled. Elei smirked while turning her head to look at her "I would but you'd miss me too much"

Iya rolled her eyes "you are not to dance here, this is for those that have done the training..the metikyina way not the forest freak way" she placed her three fingers on her lips and roughly blew air while flinging her fingers away from her mouth. Elei smiled "oh? well the chiefs son wanted me to dance here fish face so go cry about it"

Iya shot the girl a quick glare before getting up and making her way over to aonung.

"You invited an outsider to dance with us?" She whispered trying not to strike him. Aonung took a sip of his drink. "She is not an outsider she is one of the people iya" aonung cleared his throat trying to avoid her glare.

Iya placed a hand on his chest "this is sacred? She has not even done the proper training? She has not received the blessing from the tulkun you CANNOT allow this?" Her high pitched voice cracked from how worked up she was getting. Aonungs eyes shifted to the girl in front of him, "agh I have decided, now excuse me" he murmured pushing past her and making his way towards the center of the small crowd.

The moment he lifted his cup into the air everyone quieted down. "We are no longer boys, now we are men and great warriors of our people! We must celebrate" His voice boomed through the crowd. Everyone began to stick out their tongues and smack their chest while stepping side to side.

A huge smirk snuck onto Aonungs face before he made eye contact with Elei, two of her braids hung in front of her widened eyes. Aonung stuck out his tongue and banged on his chest while growling.

Elei couldn't help but to stare at aonung, her eyes trailed from his freshly done face tattoos down to the one on his upper arm showing he was a hunter that successfully hunted beyond the reef. Iya bumped into Eleis shoulder startling her a bit. "Dance, if you don't know the steps you can leave like I told you to earlier" elei bit her tongue to hold back a hiss. "Sure princess" she replied through gritted teeth.

The sound of drums and blue flutes blended together making a breathtaking melody. The dancers began performing their traditional dance for the new warriors. Elei swayed her hips while raising her arms up and down slowly. A few metikyina men stared at her like she was a rare creature. Her red loin cloth meshed with her skin so well, she wore a brown netted top decorated with seashells she had found in a box she had back at home.

Elei leaned forward then back while moving her arms like a leaf falling from a tree. Aonung watched Elei as she danced admiring how her hair fell perfectly onto her face with every move she made, his heart was racing so fast he swore he could hear it.

His body burned from how much he yearned for her touch. He wanted so badly to kiss her lips without fearing his parents judgement.

Aonungs body tensed up when he seen elei make her way over to him. The girl bent down to his level making sure to move her body in a more seductive way, the moment their eyes connected strong emotions flowed through the forest girls body, she then leaned closer towards him until their faces were a few inches apart.

Aonungs chest rose and fell quickly as a shaky breath escaped his lips, his eyes fluttered shut to avoid her eyes that held a siren like look. Eleis lips parted slightly while her eyes darted all over his face. "Ma aonu" she whispered, Aonungs eyes snapped open "yawne..w-what did you call me?" He stumbled over his words, shocked that she called him the nickname she used before losing her memory.

Eleis eyes shifted to his lips then back to his light blue eyes that made her stomach feel strange. She smiled before getting up and making her way back towards the group of dancers as the music stopped signaling that the dance was done.

Everyone gathered around the large fire to begin telling stories. "the akula swallowed me whole" roxto paused to take a bite of his fish. "And then I cut myself out through its stomach and killed it!" He exaggerated making Elei snort loudly drawing his attention. "What is it?" Roxto asked turning his head to stare at her.

Elei wiped her lips "um nothing nothing" she murmured, her tail moved quickly as she became anxious from all of the attention being on her. Roxto looked over at aonung then back to Elei. "No please do tell us what is on your mind" he replied growing curious. Eleis tail lowered and her ears did the same as she thought of what to say, "I- ok well it seems like a bullshit story"

Everyone looked at one another confused. Elei rolled her eyes and explained "bullshit means lies or something made up. It's sky people talk"

The metikyina people began snickering making roxto feel embarrassed. "You do not get to speak until you face an akula" roxto sneered. Elei whistled and looked away from him "Yeah ok buddy"

Elei combed her four fingers through her hair while grinning , "roxto the mighty hunter who got swallowed whole by a deadly akula and survived? Wow legendary" she sarcastically announced. Roxto took a swig of his drink shooting a look at everyone who was laughing.

Aou'te walked up to the group with iya beside him. "Elei I need to talk to you" Elei looked up at him and shook her head "no I can't right now but I will later" she assured the man before fixing her gaze back on the warm fire.  Aou'tes jaw tightened "ma Elei lets go" he exhaled. Aonungs eyes were now glued onto his mate while trying to ease his territorial nature.

Aou'te tail swayed quickly showing his upset mood. Elei peered over at aonung with fear evident in her eyes. "Fine, this better be good Aou'te" she sighed while standing and dusting the sand off of her legs.

Aonung tried to stand but was yanked back down by his best friend. "If you go after her now, everyone will know you mated with her" roxto whispered while looking around. Aonungs nostrils flared "how would they know? I'm just making sure she's safe" he replied tightening his fingers around his cup.

Roxto elbowed him "if you go after her now it will seem too protective, that's how they will know." He explained. Aonung hissed lowly before throwing his cup. "I will have his head if he dare touch my woman" aonung snarled. Roxto itched his head "wait a few minutes before you go after her so I can cover for you" he mumbled.

Aonung nodded and stared into the fire wondering what Aou'te was talking to his mate about.
