Fang's reptilian eyes follow the little girl as she marches back and forth, trying her best to look furious and serious but especially not fearful and nervous. As she was doing this, she didn't notice Fang quietly sneaking up. Fang's massive body overshadowed the little girl, covering her almost in complete darkness before she could react.

Fang snatched up the little girl and removed her gun from her hands. She tried to struggle, kicking and punching but she eventually gave up and accepted her fate; she did not feel claws cut into her skin or her teeth rip apart her flesh as she imagined, but instead, a cold scarcely hug and reptilian humming.

She looked up at this mysterious Beast in return Fang looked down at her, she watched as Fang placed her head on her head and said ( hatchlings shouldn't be Soldiers, they should be with their tribe, safe and fed not amongst the Warriors and Soldiers)

( Sleep hatchling you need more growing before you can swing your ax or shoot your gun) the girl tries to protest by saying ( I am not just a child I am a soldier which means I should always be fierce and ready to fight I don't need to sleep I need to be ready)

Fang was not buying it, but instead, Fang continued to caress the little girl's head until, eventually, she gave up and fell asleep with a bitter look of defeat on her face.

Fang simply held the little girl, moving back and forth, rocking her like she was a newborn, making sure she was comfortable and safe; she turned towards her newest companion and whispered ( come, come, she has fallen asleep. I must ask you a question.) The young woman slowly approached and sat beside her, waiting for her question, but as she did, she felt Fang's tail push her closer to her right after saying ( how do you comfort a human hatchling?) The young woman looked up at Fang and somehow could tell Fang was completely serious.

She pondered for a moment trying to think of words to say but only came up with what ifs and maybes but eventually gave up and went for the best thing she could think of ( I do not know, I have always felt more comfortable around Machines and Robots they are simple and they have simple problems but my fellow humans are complex I do not know how to comfort a child I am sorry Fang I'm not good at this at all)

Fang replied ( I like you machine woman, you are very honest most would have lied or assumed the worst when I came to calm the hatchling, may I request your War name so I shall remember it as we battle for Glory and Meat)

The young woman remembered the nickname she came up with, but it was a little embarrassing and geekish. She thought to herself, what did she have to lose if she was going to die anyway (My Friends call me Mech Girl but my enemies call me The Blue Oni !!!.....you know, because I use Tank-armor that is painted like a blue OnI, and my armor kinda looks like a Power armor from a comic book or action manga oh my God I forgot you a giant warrior crocodile lady you have no idea what I'm talking about) Mech Girl's face turned red as she realized what she had said out loud. As she was trying to explain herself, they both heard heavy banging outside of the reinforced door, slow and deliberate, some sort of pattern.

But before they could question it, the little girl jumps out of Fang's arms runs over to the door, and quickly opens it but as she does the scent of charred flesh and the sound of Fire follow suit as a large man in a thick metal gas mask enters the room patting the little girl on her head and slowly turning towards his new company.
