Fang sat with the little girl as she cleaned her STG 44 with the confidence of a trained Soldier, Fang could only imagine what type of training the girl had to go through to be so comfortable with her weapon.

The Soldier watched Them sit together with a smile on his face, smoking a Rust Devil cigar while Doctor Wolfenstein worked with Mech Girl often at times they would quietly argue amongst themselves while they worked on a new device they could use to give them an edge over the undead hive mind.

Until he sees a half-decayed hand reach out to him. Without saying a word, he places a cigar in Undead Soldier's hand. He hears a rusty lighter lit the cigar and a deep inhale before a quiet release. The Undead Soldier takes a moment to appreciate the sentiment before speaking ( why do you come here, young Hellfighter? Was it the money or The sense of adventure? Maybe some sense of duty? Sorry for the rudeness, but I just want to know if you don't mind telling an ancient corpse).

The soldier answered ( after I came back home from the front lines, there was nothing left for me there. I didn't have a loving family to welcome me or a normal way of thinking to assimilate back into society. All I was taught since I was a knee-high boy was to be a soldier; after my leg injury and some other things, I couldn't even be that, but that's life for you.)

The undead soldier took a deep drag of his cigar before speaking ( I think I can understand during The Great Wars people call what you were going through shell-shocked, back in my day when people had it you usually got killed for it and got deemed a coward or they did cruel experiments on you to get you back on that Battlefield as soon as possible.

He took another slow drag of his cigar and paused only to think about the Horrors he experienced during The Great Wars, but before he could say another word, The Young Soldier cut him off by asking him one question. ( what happened to the little girl) the undead soldier's face turned completely another disgust as he inhaled a good chunk of his cigar before speaking again

(Do you know what happened? What always happens during any war? The young get taken advantage of by previous generations obsessed with victory and bloodshed, justifying their bloodlust or greed by using moral superiority and a sense of duty ) he paused for a moment, staring off into space before speaking again.

( I am ruining the moment of Peace by being a bitter old Corpse, the bitter truth is, I don't know just one day out of nowhere Doctor Wolfenstein visited me as I was taking my break from guarding him and his apprentice family they went along without me claiming they knew what they were doing if only I didn't listen.

A few hours later Doctor Wolfenstein came back alone carrying their little girl with fresh stitches and blooded rags covering her If I didn't know better if Doctor Wolfenstein still had human eyes I guarantee you he would have been sobbing at that moment )

( He told me to keep her safe while he handled personal business and then he retreated to his experiments almost as if he was trying to bury the memories of what happened with needless busy work he claimed that woman was one of his greatest mistakes I do not know what happened after that, all I do know is I became a grandfather to a misguided child and that I'm grateful to be loved despite my past and present) They continue to smoke the cigars in silence just appreciating the moment the peace and the comfort of comrades.
