The Soldier peaks his head from around the concrete wall, blood-stained posters of propaganda plastered across every single inch of them speaking about. ( cybernetics as the future of humanity and flesh being primitive ) While others had ( Military issues Chems is better than medicine and better than coffee use some today).

He was used to the posters almost of every pre-war building in the swamp had them covering their walls and sometimes their floors too, but what he was not used to was the cybernetically enhanced dogs guarding the hallways pumped up with enough performer-enhancement Chems that could kill an elephant.

He hosted his shotgun, knowing if he fired it, it would attract more attention than he could handle by himself, so he slowly drew his machete, readying himself to fight. As he did, one of his shotgun shells slipped from his ammo pouch and fell to the floor, making a small metallic sound.

He quickly turned towards the hounds, but as he did, one of the dogs bit his arm, and the other one went for his neck; as the hound lunged, he plunged the machete through the hound's skull, spreading streaming congealed chemical-rich blood all over his face stinging his bare skin.

He shoved the dead dog off of him and swung his machete into the other's head, splitting it open and getting the machete stuck. While doing that, he used his right cybernetic foot to keep the third dog from ripping out his throat.

With all his strength, he pinned down the dog and wrapped it in thick steel wire, making sure not to damage the cyborg dog too much before viciously shoving a biomechanical data drive Into the back of the neck of the cyborg dog's neck.

The cyborg dog twitches and whines before going limp; The Soldier sits down with the cyborg dog, waiting for the Breakthrough that could change everything, but something he was not expecting to happen, something that shook him down to his core.

A wet, cold feeling began to cover his hand, but as he looked down, he almost... gave into a quiet laugh. The once vicious chem-up war-hound was now licking his hand like a happy puppy; he cautiously untied the cyborg dog but was not met with aggression but affection.

He turned on B.O.L.T and radio in that The Override Drive was a complete success, Doctor Wolfenstein cut through the radio static saying ( it was not a success, I repeat it was not a success The Hive Mind is aware of you somehow Retreat, Retreats, Retreat we sending back up )

The Cyber Dog whimpered as they heard approaching shuffling feet and deep guttural animal-like moans; he grabbed a syringe from his bag, knowing this was probably the best time to use the serum. He got it from Doctor Wolfenstein, who warned him of the addictive properties of The Hellfigter Serum, and once he started, there was no going back; as he stabbed the serum into his veins, he ordered the dog to report back to base assuming the dog would follow his orders.

The dog stared at him for a moment before abruptly barking and turning towards the approaching horde, swearing loyalty to the human who freed her from her prison, but to the soldier's perspective, the cyborg dog was just being disobedient.
