It was only her second night here. And something Lucie had already noticed was that it was too quiet. There was always someone tossing and turning, someone coughing, someone sneezing, someone breathing just a little too loudly, someone getting up to use the bathroom, a duo whispering to one another, someone waking up screaming from a nightmare, someone- just, okay, you get my point, there was always something.
But this time, there was nothing. When she'd been with just Laura, it'd been different. Because it was Laura, her best friend for as long as she could remember. The previous night, it had probably just been the shock of everything that had just happened that made her fall asleep quickly. She was only thinking about Laura, not about anything else.
But now, the silence was practically deafening her. Lucie sat upright on the bed, looking around for something, anything, that would help. But she couldn't find anything. Her room was barren anyway, minus the bed and a desk, so what the fuck would she even use?
There was Emilia's room, that was a solution, and honestly the only one Lucie could think of. In all honestly, she didn't entirely trust her yet. She trusted her enough, she seemed nice anyway, but if the two were thrown into a life or death situation right then and there, Lucie would trust no one but herself.
But she needed to sleep so her options were either suffer or sleep in a practically stranger's room and she chose the latter. Lucie gathered up the blanket and pillow, stopping by the desk, where'd she'd placed May. "I'll be back soon, okay?" She whispered and then pushed open her door, walking down the hall where Emilia's room was, hoping that this wouldn't backfire horribly on her.
She opened the door and walked inside, where Emilia's back was turned to the door. As quietly as she could, she set down the pillow and the blanket. She watched Emilia's every move, seeing if she was waking up or not. Eventually, though there was only one person tossing and turning, Lucie fell asleep.
