Sammy was dead.
Sammy Kyle or Wayne or Blackwell or whatever was dead.
Samantha Amaris Michelle Wayne-Kyle was dead.
Sammy was shot in the head by their own father, Marlin motherfucking Blackwell.
And Harmonia Cartman wanted him dead.
Harmonia was not an angry person, just a tired/disappointed mother/big sister. The way she'd previously handled grief was tears and just overall depression and sad stuff. But all she could feel was rage. When she'd found Sammy's body alongside Nightwing and Batgirl, she had denied that it was Sammy, said she was probably seeing things, all these years of different assorted bullshit was getting to her, that's what was going on, of course.
So, anyway, Sammy was buried.
All Harmonia could feel was rage.
She wanted to hurt Marlin.
She wanted to kill Marlin.
"Harmonia, don't do it."
That's what Bruce said. But the bitch was not going to listen. She was going to find him. And one night, she was gone.
Oh, wherever could she be?
-
Harmonia kicked in the door to his hideout; she wasn't wearing her mask, there was no point. Marlin knew exactly who she was, no point in dwelling on it.
"MARLIN!"
The blonde watched as Marlin hurriedly stood up, knocking his plate onto the floor, wasting some perfectly good empanadas. Harmonia had had a few, courtesy of the Kyles and also Missy. The man looked disheveled, but how else do you expect a criminal on the run to look?
Harmonia doesn't remember a good chunk of it. She remembered pulling Marlin outside, she remembered punching him, kicking him, hitting him, and him doing the same things right back to her. But as she got more aggressive, he got less aggressive, eventually just stopping fighting back altogether.
"Thank you."
And then she snapped his neck.
And Marlin Jackson Blackwell was dead.
Harmonia stared down at his body. She felt at least a bit better, she knew that much. She had yet to realize the very last thing this man ever said was 'thank you'. As she was murdering him.
A few seconds later, Harmonia heard no footsteps but she did feel a looming presence behind her. She turned around to be greeted by none other than her adoptive father, the Batman himself, Bruce Wayne.
She smiled.
"I did a thing."
