Ellie sleeping in past noon was not anything Bucky would consider unusual. He just figured he might as well go check on her. When he did, he saw no sign of Ellie.
He stepped inside her room and found a few of her things were missing. All her essentials, and some other assorted items, including Dolley's sunglasses that she was borrowing.
And her window was open.
Had she run away?
There was no note, though.
Again, Ellie just randomly leaving wasn't anything unusual, Bucky was always very lenient with her. But usually she'd send Bucky a text saying where she was going, what she was doing, who she'd be with, just the basics, and that was that.
But Ellie was nowhere to be found.
Immediately, he tried calling and texting her, repeatedly. Not once did she answer. Bucky felt like he could hardly breathe. And then, when he tried texting her one last time, he'd been blocked.
She had blocked him.
Had she run away?
Had somebody kidnapped her?
But, surely, if she was kidnapped, especially from her own home, she'd fight against it, right? She had no reason not to.
Bucky called his sister.
"Dolley, I need your help. Ellie's missing."
