Where was Jason? Had he really just up and left? No, no, he wouldn't do that. He wouldn't. That's what Joselyn kept repeating over and over in her mind.
But then what happened to him? If someone kidnapped him, there was a good chance he was dead by now. So, what was the point of her staying here? What was the point of her living?
And if he had just up and left her, then really what was the point? She wasn't really happy in life anyway. So, what was the point?
Joselyn looked over at the alleyway entrance. Nobody was coming for her. Nobody cared about her.
She found a rusty pocket knife and picked it up, digging it into her skin.
She was found by police a couple days later. Joselyn Todd became Jane Doe.

The night her water broke, she left. She worked up the courage to finally escape and then she gave birth in some random lady's apartment. She had a boy; Orion.
After two days, Marlene left and made her way to the bridge. That man was gonna find her. And how was she supposed to raise her son while homeless?
She peered down the bridge. She'd heard about a little boy's body being discovered here.
Well, this was Gotham. What was one more suicide?
So, Marlene tossed her infant son and then jumped herself.
Marlene James became Jane Doe. Orion James became John Doe. She became Marlene James again six years later when she was identified by her little sister, Lottie, who posthumously named her son Jasper.

Caden had no plan for after he ran away. Just that he'd be somewhere else. And he also quickly realized he didn't trust anyone else.
This was Gotham. Something was going to happen to him eventually.
Why did he even do this? Did he really think this would actually work?
He wanted to run home to Steph but that meant he'd have to go home and he did not want to do that. So, he found a busy street, and ran out in front of the car.
Caden would die just before the ambulance arrived. His body was returned to his family, as he'd been able to give his name before he died.

Duchess Thomas became Jane Doe. She would be identified by her brother the following year.
