Catlyn looked over at Serenity, sound asleep in her bassinet. Keeping her was a bad idea. She was well aware she wasn't going to be a good mother. She was well aware her mother was gonna mostly raise her.

She wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing. She cried when she held Serenity for the first time, but had they been tears of happiness or tears of regret?

Catlyn loved Serenity. Catlyn knew she loved Serenity. She didn't feel sick looking at her, like a part of her had suspected she would. At times like these she was grateful to look like Eddie.

Serenity had a head full of hair; brown, obviously.

Everyone had come by to see her that day, save for her father who was across a whole entire ocean. They'd all just about fallen in love with the infant.

Serenity Jadus Vivi Bordio.

Serenity, a name and English word Catlyn liked. Jadus, after her favorite sister. Vivi, after he favorite brother.

Catlyn looked over at the stuffed animals at the edge of her bed. She eyed the tiger Jadey has brought her. She decided she'd try to instill that as Serenity's favorite.

She looked back over at Serenity, silently wondering why her mother had convinced her to keep it and been so quick to agree to raise it.

"I love you," Catlyn whispered to Serenity. "I swear I do."
