Me trying to figure out effective comm

Me trying to figure out how to communicate effectively:::

Me: Okay, so people don't usually read long messages, so they assume I'm lecturing them. Thus, I should write the bare minimum.

Me: (Gets blocked by an author for a simple response that lacked context and was therefore misunderstood)

Me: ... Ookaay... So **that** doesn't work....

Me: (tries summaries, before and after the details)

Me reading the replies to such messages: ... I don't think they actually read any of this....

Me: (becomes robotic in tone) ... I... don't know how to fix this.... In trying not to sound upset, I end up... like... like this.. There's no way people receive this well....

Me: Okay, so if I put my intention, that seems to help.

Me applying that later: Wait, but that makes it longer!!

Me applying it to a specific situation: And how do I even explain this?!! "I MEAN THIS GENUINELY"???? Oh, "Your time is valuable," that sounds good. Yes, explain *why* it's worth it for the person to read it. That's basically my intention: to help by informing. Yes, this should convey that I'm not trying to be rude....

The person I was responding to: good for you.

Me: ... (looks at my message) (looks at the person's reply) (looks back at my message) That... makes no sense. I never said anything that was – wait, ohh, maybe the person was saying "good for you to provide a summary" or something. ... I also said I sucked at communication though.... And a different commenter was the reason I provided a summary.... And anyway, I still didn't talk about anything that benefited me...???

Me: Okay, apologies in advance then. Let's try that....

Geez, how do you people keep track of all these variables?!! I feel like I'm juggling trying to balance length, content, and politeness(?).... And that's just online!!! How do you manage nonverbal communication along with all of this?!!!

I don't know why I keep doing this.... I don't seem to improve through practice. ._.
