Description: Fanny is you aunt, and you're in a relationship with Julian, she wouldn't approve so you hide it

Warnings: a bit of angst but only a tiny bit

I'm sorry about the wait, I've been at work and more tired than usual 😭 ( I hate growing up)

This has a dual title because it isn't JUST focused around them hiding their relationship from Fanny

Also, y/n uses she/her pronouns :)

You had died a few years after Fanny, funnily enough, in a similar circumstances... well the reason you died was, you had found out that your uncle had killed off your aunt after discovering his homosexuality.

You had shouted and screamed at him about how horrid and awful he was for killing her because he was scared. He had panicked and hit you over the head causing you to die from the head injury.

In death, you managed to become closer to your aunt which you adored, in life you had been close however in death, your bond strengthened even more.

Due to this close bond, Fanny became very protective of you, along with pat and captain ( when they died) you practically were wrapped in bubble wrap

She saw you as a daughter - seeing as she never had one of her own - so she protected you from anything that she deemed inappropriate for a lady to be around.

For a short time in the 60s there was an extremely loud and highly strung ghost at the house, who Fanny kept you away from with every ounce of power she could, she often scolded him for even coming into the same room as you because he would try influence you to do stupid things, such as jump off the roof for the fun of it - he had been extremely high when he died.

Luckily he moved on in 1969, which most of the ghosts were greatful for as he insisted on mentioning what year it was whenever he got the chance.

However... when Julian died, the nightmare began all over again, however, this man intrigued you, you knew you should listen to your aunt

' now y/n, you keep away from him, we all know how he died and a lady doesn't get involved with men like that' she had insisted.

And captain often reminded you of how morally bankrupt he was whenever you even spoke to him.

However what they didn't know, was that you and Julian had been in a relationship since a year after he died.

He made you feel alive, ironically...

He made you laugh, everyday without fail, even the little things he did made you fall even further, things like faffing with his tie, it was just one of his things that made him... him.

You didn't tell him... or anyone you noticed the little things, like how his nose scrunched up when he laughed, or how he stutters like mad when he's put on the spot or lying.

These things just made you smile, you often found yourself staring at him just watching his facial expressions... before kitty would elbow you with a giggle and say, ' you're staring y/n'

She always meant well but then it caused Fanny to go on a rant about how rude it is to stare...

Anyway, the two of you hid your relationship due to Fanny's dislike and disapproval for Julian. Sometimes it annoyed you that you couldn't sit with him, or talk to him more...

You couldn't just go from practically not acknowledging his existence to being best friends, so you just sent each other glances from across rooms, in a way it was exciting... as well as infuriating, sneaking around and knowing there was a risk whenever you did anything, even just cuddling was risky because Fanny would flip.

However, one day you and Julian threw caution to the wind, you were in the library fairly early, only captain and robin were awake, captain on patrol and robin doing god knows what in the woods.

So the two of you settled down in the library, cuddling at first but then cuddling turned into flirting which turned into kissing which turned into Julian's hands wandering - of course, this is Julian we are talking about.

You and Julian were kissing in the library, you giggled slightly as his hand moved from your face, trailing his finger down your neck gently which tickled more than anything else.

' shh, kitty's room is down the hall, she will hear you giggling and wonder what you're doing' Julian whispered

You rolled your eyes but nodded, knowing he was right, of course he was.

Instead of saying anything, you just grabbed his tie and pulled him back in for a kiss.

' OH MY- WHAT ON EARTH?!?!'

You pushed Julian away quickly, causing him to fall backwards off the windowsill, and groaning on the floor about his back.

' I- uhm it's not what it looks like Auntie...' you attempted

' no? Then what was it young lady!? Because it looks like you were...canoodling!'

' I-... uh would you believe me if I said I was giving her mouth to mouth?' Julian, unhelpfully inputted

Fanny's face became thunderous, a shriek could be heard, probably from the town across from this one.

Needless to say, you had to have a looong conversation with Fanny about the... predicament.

In the end she did accept it, unhappily, insisting she wanted to see no PDA and if Julian did anything... you know, he would regret the day he was born.

That was enough for you, at least she didn't want to kill him all over again.
