Chapter 21: Everything's Wrong Part 2

Everyone was in shock about what Shiro had just told us. Allura had sacrificed herself for him and now Zarkon had her. We walked into the control deck and I started to get a location on where that Curiser is while Shiro explained to Maddie and Coran what happened. Coran got mad and yelled at Shiro and maddie came over to work with me so we could find Allura. Everyone was fighting so I stood up and turned to them "Everyone shut up! We all are mad that Allura is gone but fighting will get us nowhere. We have worked as a team before and we can do it again. Now let's come up with a plan to rescue Allura." I said and everyone nodded their head.

We started to work to find Allura's location and we knew we could make one jump to Zarkon command. We came up with a plan to fly in there and use Voltron to find Allura, rescue her and crush most of the important systems on the ship. Everyone got to their hangers and Maddie gave me a kiss for good luck. I was ready in Gray and Coran made the jump.

We immediately flew out and fighters started to fire at us. We formed Voltron and started to take out the fighters. Then, I felt the connection in voltron weakening and it felt like the lions were repelling each other. A barrier appeared around the entire base and it trapped us in. The lions broke apart and Shiro yelled. "Shiro are you ok?" I asked "Something has a hold of black" He said and the black lion's jaw opened, ejecting Shiro out. "Shiro" Keith yelled "I'm good" he said and He started to jetpack towards the ship.

Hunk went to go and rescue Allura as everyone else fought the fighters. I saw that the Black lion was heading for someone on the outside of the bridge and I followed after. I got closer and realized that it was Zarkon. I started to fire at him but he blocked it with the Black bayard that he had acquired. I kept firing as I kept the black lion away from him. "I see that the Gray Paladin is just as skilled as Aleea." He said and he shot at Gray. I evadied and blasted and I pushed black further away from Zarkon.

"Kenya, stop going after Zarkon, he is stronger than you think" Shiro said. Everyone voted against me doing it but I turned off my coms. They didn't listen to me and that's how we got into this mess. I attacked Zarkon again and he deflected it. A box for my bayard appeared on my console and I put my bayard in. A cannon appeared on my lion and it fired a high powered laser that was white at Zarkon. His bayard flew out of his hand as he looked at my lion in surprise.

Shiro made it to the black lion and he grabbed onto gray. I turned on my coms again. "Hey what was that for!" I shouted "I think you have had enough fun for one day" he said and we flew back to the ship. Hunk had found Allura and we made it safely back to the ship. I landed in the hanger and Maddie was waiting for me. Allura was getting ready to wormhole but the barrier was blocking us from wormholing. The castle was shaking from the firing on the castle's barrier.

Me and Maddie headed into the safe space of the lion and I got into my seat while Maddie held on behind me. Then all of a sudden the barrier keeping us trapped disappeared and Allura made a wormhole. As we entered there was a flash of purple in the wormhole and Gray slipped out of the hanger. Everyone was yelling on the coms as we all fell out of the castle. Keith and Shiro dispersed through one side of the wormhole as I tried to steady gray. The next to disappear through the wormhole was Lance and Hunk. Finally Pidge went through the wormhole and Gray fell out as well. We were headed fast towards a planet's surface. I tried to steady Gray so we wouldn't hit as hard but I was unsuccessful and we hit the surface as I blacked out.

I woke up to Maddie shaking me "Kenya! Kenya wake up." She shouted. I groaned as I lifted my head. Maddie hugged me when she knew I was ok. We seperated and I tried to start Gray's systems with no luck. "Gray is out of order, it will take time to restart so we're on our own." I said, "Well, do you even know where we are?" Maddie questioned. "No" I say and I try to summon Gray's physical form. Gray appears and he stumbles a little before he reaches us. "Take it slow Gray" I say as I lift him onto my chair. 'Zarkon took a lot out of me' He says through our mental link. "I know stay here and rest" I say and Gray falls asleep. Maddie and I exit Gray and we slowly start to explore. "Maddie Do you have any idea where we are?" I ask "No. I was going to ask you that." She answers. "I guess we are on our own now"
