The plane reached its destination and landed on the runway, Karina heard the plane screeching to a halt.

Soon they got out of the plane and passed the checkpoint. Karina's mother walked forward with the luggage in tow. To this point, she arrives in a car parked waiting outside. With the driver waiting leaning on the car.

"Karina let me introduce you to my friend back in the village, Aloysius. This is my daughter, Karina." Her mother makes the quick introduction. Aloysius extended his hand for a handshake and Karina shook it, Aloysius held her hand a few seconds longer than he should have.

"Pleasure to meet you. Let's get going." Karina was immediately ticked off but she remained calm and politely yet swiftly retracted her hand. The man proceeds to walk over and grab the luggage that her mother brought and put it in the trunk of the car. Her mother took the back seat and so did Karina.

Aloysius took a seat in the driver's seat and drove off. Karina didn't want to engage in any conversation as of right now so she pretended to be asleep.

After a while, Aloysius assumed Karina was asleep and struck up a conversation with her mother

"Siyala, you said that you had 3 children but you didn't say there was a daughter in there. Also is there-"

"Absolutely not, I have already said it time and time again. I have no intention of being with you even if my husband is dead."

"That's a shame. The elders had always said how much of a good couple we are. You have power and I had the wits in me. I even have the possibility of being the next chief. You sure you are not going to charge your mind and file a divorce?"

"I won't budge Aloysius. I already said it before. I won't agree to marry you. Besides I simply see you as a brother. Nothing more nothing less. I am never going to divorce my husband. I love him dearly despite him being a human."

Her mother knew her father was a clan member, also from the looks of things her mother had every intention to not marry this Aloysius fellow. And her mother is keeping the most important information that she is now a widow.

"You are declining such an offer? Well, soon you will regret it. Don't say I didn't advise you to take the easy option." Aloysius ended the conversation and an awkward silence set in.

From the context of the conversation, her mother may have known about Aloysius being this persistent, it almost sounds as if he is obsessed with making her his. But her mother's power and his wits? It makes it sound as if he has an ulterior motive.

Well, Karina will need to wait for the time being, the rest of the car ride was complete silence. Till the car slowed and stopped, Siyala attempted to wake up Karina, only for Karina to open her eyes before her mother could do so.

"I shouldn't have thought of you as normal just like your brothers huh? Sorry there my dear, I suppose I still want those moments where you all could depend on me." Her mother apologised to Karina, but Karina could see that her mother's expression was that of a wistful smile.

"Is not your fault for having such thoughts mother, frankly it could've been different. But you are still my mother, it's just a habit of mine." Karina reassures her mother, and Siyala shakes her head with that smile still plastered on her face.

Both of them got out of the car, Aloysius had gotten out a few minutes ago and was now standing a few meters away from the car. When the duo started to walk towards Aloysius, he turned around and walked into the forest.

For a while the scenery of the forest is was about to get tiresome, until she sees further ahead. There was a barrier, more specifically an illusion barrier, which protects whatever is inside the barrier.

"So is anyone going to tell me when are we getting to the place, the scenery of the forest is getting tiring."

Karina complains which would be natural for anyone who prefers the urban then nature. Though this comment wouldn't be suspicious if it wasn't for her mother trying to hide her smile.

Despite the changes to the clan and how they lived, the clan she hails from used to live in a forested area, before going completely incognito.

After roughly 30 minutes to nearly an hour of walking aimlessly in the forest feigning exhaustion on Karina's end, and awkward silence. Said silence was broken. Only to be met by an insult, rather than good news.

"Your brothers were better than this, and you are such a let down."

If it wasn't for the fact he is a friend of her mother she would've spared no time in slapping him across the world if she wants to by just saying something so coldly and insulting tome too. Though he was suddenly kicked behind the knees.

"Now then, her brothers are a unique case. They love to move about. She does too but not so much. Besides she's in university she'll need more time to do projects and have so little time now. So cut her some slack, you should be giving her good news though since we are here."

If it wasn't for her father being a Hero Clan member, Karina wouldn't been able to sense a strong combination of magic concentrated in one large area.

The area is large to settle a small group similar to a tribe, but is too small for a whole clan to be housed in. Which means is the bending physical boundary sort of magic that allows the place to be hidden.

Which means if there is no local of the village or someone with high magic perception, the gate to the village will never be known to the outsiders.

Karina sense anxiousness but yet thrill in herself, she is obtaining a new ability after all and it can help her in her clan duties. Aloysius walked and drew an oval in the air, effectively opening a gate to the village. The three of them stepped through the gate, and shuts as they passed over.
