The sun's rays filtered through the window, shining on Chiara's face. She blinked her eyes open, the light disorienting her.

"Good morning," Alessandro said, a glass of water and a bowl of soup in his hands. "I thought you might need this."

Chiara's head was pounding, and her mouth felt like cotton. She reached for the glass of water, taking a long drink.

"Thanks," she rasped, her voice hoarse. "What happened?"

Alessandro set the soup down and sat on the edge of the bed."You don't remember anything that happened last night?"

"No, I don't," Chiara said, her brow furrowed. "Wait, did I do something stupid?"

"No, not at all," Alessandro said. "You just... had a little too much to drink."

Chiara's eyes widened. "Oh no," she said, a look of dread on her face. "What did I say? Did I say anything embarrassing?"

"No, you were adorable yesterday," Alessandro said, a small smile playing on his lips.

Chiara groaned and buried her face in her hands. "Ugh, I hate being drunk, Every time I get drunk, I do something stupid."

Alessandro chuckled. "Well, I wouldn't call last night stupid, You were just a little silly, that's all."

Chiara peeked out from between her fingers. "I don't believe you,"

"Well, why don't you try to remember what you did last night?" Alessandro suggested.

Chiara closed her eyes and tried to focus on the night before. As she did, a few scattered memories began to come back to her.

FLASH BACK 💥
"Don't carry me!" Chiara slurred, trying to push Alessandro away.

Alessandro sighed and stopped walking. "Chiara, can you please stop all this?"

"How dare you!" Chiara yelled, her face red with anger. She lunged forward and bit him hard on the arm.

Alessandro yelped and dropped her to the ground. "What the heck, Chiara?!" he exclaimed, clutching his arm in pain.
FLASH END ✨

"Oh no, I remember," she said, her eyes flying open. "I said something really dumb."

"What?" Alessandro asked

"I bit you last night," Chiara said, her eyes wide. "I'm so sorry!"

"Is that all you remember?"

"Did I do something else?"

"No"

"Can I see your arm?" Chiara asked, reaching out for him. "It must be really painful."

"It's not that bad," Alessandro said, pulling his arm away from her. "Really, it's fine."

"I'm so sorry," Chiara said, her voice small. "When I'm drunk, I can't really control myself."

"It's okay, I understand," Alessandro said, a soft smile on his face.

"Chiara, can I tell you something?" Alessandro asked, his voice serious.

"What is it?" Chiara asked, her brow furrowed.

"No matter what I did to you, please don't hate me," Alessandro said, his voice pleading. "And please don't stop your heart from loving me."

Chiara's eyes widened. "What are you saying?"

Alessandro took a deep breath. "I'm saying that I love you,"Without waiting for her to reply, he leaned forward and kissed her.Chiara was taken aback, her mind racing as she processed what was happening. After a moment, she relaxed into the kiss.
