After the funeral, Alessandro approached his mother, "You should stay with me for a while."

Bianca looked at her son, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "You're such a big boy now,And so is Luca."

Alessandro nodded, his own eyes welling up with tears."This is my wife, Chiara," he said, his arm around her shoulders.

"Good evening, ma'am," Chiara said, smiling at Bianca.

"No need for formalities, just call me Mum," Bianca said, giving Chiara a warm hug.

The phone rang, and Alessandro answered it

📲"Elena is dead,"

📲"What?! That's impossible!"

"I have to go," Alessandro said,He ended the call and turned to Chiara.

"What's going on?" Chiara asked

"I'm fine, Gabriel, please take Chiara and my mother home. Make sure they're safe."

"You don't understand," Matteo said. "You have no idea what you've done."

"I don't care! You betrayed me!"

"Mum, Fabrizio is dead,You killed him!" Matteo yelled

"Good to hear that, I'm so happy he's gone! Now you can be the CEO of the Fabrizio company!"

"Shut up, Mum!" Matteo yelled, his face red with anger. "You're disgusting!"

"You don't dare tell me to shut up! I've worked hard for this, and I've suffered and worked for this for years. What more do I need to do? Kill Alessandro so you can be the CEO?"

"I am not even Fabrizio's legitimate son!" Matteo yelled

"What do you mean?"

"I found out that I'm not really Fabrizio's son, You cheated on him and you killed my real father when he found out that you were carrying his child."

Without warning, Maria slapped Matteo hard across the face. "Shut up, you bastard!" she yelled.

"Is that why you killed Helen?" Matteo yelled back,"Because she found out I'm a bastard?"

"Answer me!" Matteo yelled

"So what?" Maria said,

"You're a monster! How could you do that to me? You knew I loved her!"

"I don't care, You were never supposed to fall in love with a maid. She deserved to die."

"You're disgusting! Turn yourself in!"

"Never! "Not until I achieve my goals. And you're going to help me win over Alessandro, whether you like it or not."

"I will not help you!" Matteo said, his hands balled into fists. "I would never do that!"

Just then, they both heard the sound of sirens in the distance.

"What? What did you do?"

"I called the police,You need to turn yourself in."

"You bastard!" Maria yelled She turned and ran for the door, but Matteo was faster. He grabbed her arm and held her back.

"If you let me go, I'll shoot you!" Maria threatened, a gun suddenly appearing in her hand.

"Mum, if you run away now, you'll be in hiding forever!" Matteo yelled,

"I don't care! I'd rather be on the run than face what I've done!"
