"He hasn't gotten out of bed all day.." I said talking to my mom on the phone while making grilled cheese for myself, Mason, and Chris if he'd eat it.

Today was Saturday and I wanted to get some last minute Christmas decorations, but I didn't want to go alone.

"Just give him some time sweetheart, when people get bad news like that, whether it's about themselves or someone else they shut down. It's nothing against you so don't make it seem that way. Remember when granny was sick?" She questioned as I nodded as if she could see me.

"Yeah, I do." I said cutting Mason's grilled cheese in half before pouring some vanilla cupcake flavored goldfish cookies onto his plate.

"It's the same thing, we were all just as sad and upset. So give it time, I'm gonna call Julisa and talk to her, maybe grab lunch with her and Rylann, give Chris hugs for me and tell my grand babies I love them." She said as I smiled feeling Maddy moving around.

"I will, I love you."

"I love you too." She said as we disconnected the call, I sighed resting my phone onto the island before cutting off the stove, carrying our plates upstairs I checked Masons room to see that he wasn't in there. Remembering that he'd been coming into our room at night to sleep in our bed, I made my way into our room, smiling to myself as I saw my two favorite men asleep.

Mason was sprawled out next to Chris, his little feet rested on Chris's chest. Chris slept on his back wrapped up like a burrito in the blanket we shared.

I sat our food down onto my small vanity desk, it was an early Christmas gift from Chris, and I'd gotten him a few games for his PS5 along with a gold Rolex watch, and some much needed art supplies.

Sauntering over to the bed, I rubbed Mason's back soothingly, that usually woke him up. He stirred in his sleep before his little brown eyes opened, stretching and groaning he stood up wanting me to pick him up, I scooped him into my arms and he immediately reated his head on my shoulder.

I guess he knew his little sister would be coming soon because he'd been more clingy than normal. I didn't mind it at all though; he's my first baby and if he wanted to cuddle that's exactly what I'd give him.

Lots of love.

He lifted his head and place his hands on my cheeks squeezing them together which made the both of us laugh, I tickled him before giving him a kiss.

"You wanna eat?" I questioned pointing toward our lunch, he wiggled out of my hold and made his way over to the vanity, I handed him his food and pulled the chair out for him to sit in it.

"What do you say?"

"Thank you mommy!" He smiled before I kissed the top of his head, turning on the tv I muted it and turned on youtube for him to watch a streaming channel of random cartoons to keep him occupied.
