Chris slept over again, this had now become a normal thing for us, but every now and then we'd separate from one another to give the other person some space.
Lately I had been thinking about what it would be like if we actually lived together, but I quickly dismissed the thought.
I decided to keep Mason at home today from daycare. It was now Monday, I let him sleep a little longer than I normally would because all children need their rest, I also made him waffles with sausage for breakfast which made him very happy.
I wasn't sure what we'd do later, but for now we were just enjoying being at home. No work, no daycare.
Chris left around nine thirty this morning since his doctor wanted him to come in to check out his ear.
Mase and I were going to go with him, but he said he'd be fine going alone.
Seated comfortably on my couch I scrolled through social media, I didn't always post photos, I really just used it to check on my friends. As I liked a few photos from a model named Yasmeen's baby shower a text from my mom popped up at the top of my screen.
mom❤️- Hey sweetpea! shell gas station has gas coupons!, it's like 10% off this week. You better go fill up, let my son in-law know too.
-thanks 😂, I'll let him know.
mom❤️-👍🏾
Cammy🤍-hey boo! Mason is invited to Gio's birthday party Friday at 3pm! It's gonna be at skyzone. Chris can come too! 🤞🏾
Leave it to my mom to send me the most random stuff throughout the day, I loved her though. I responded to Cam's text also letting her know we'd be there before locking my phone and grabbing the remote to cut on the tv.
I made sure to take my phone off vibrate as I rested it on the coffee table before walking over to Mason who was sitting on the floor. He was playing a lego set one of his daycare teachers gifted him on his third birthday.
Grabbing the big red block I tapped his shoulder as he turned to face me.
"What color is this?"
His little eyes peered toward the block in my hand before he signed "Red." and smiled as I tickled him.
"Good job baby!" I then grabbed another block and repeated the question, he ended up getting all the colors I picked up correct and all I could do was smile.
I guess I was doing a good job at raising my baby boy...
I left him to play as I made a mental note to possibly get him some educational stuff from Target, he could play with toys all day long, but I wanted my baby to learn as well.
