Tae and I hadn't spoken in two weeks, my calls and texts were still going unanswered.

I knew she was mad, but her just not responding at all had me in my feelings a little but; not gonna lie.

Jogging up the stairs after helping myself to a bowl of cereal. I made my way to my room, as I passed by the guest room I saw Mason left a few of his toys, I made a mental note to grab the race cars that rested on the floor and drop them off,  this would be my excuse to stop at her house.

The plan was to hang out at my mom's for a few hours just to get out of house; it felt too empty in here.

Coming out of my night clothes I tossed them into the laundry basket, only to be in my boxers I sauntered to the bathroom and cut on the shower. As the mirrors fogged up with steam I leaned against the counter staring at nothing in particular.

I did regret not tell her sooner, it just slipped my mind so I guess I deserved to be mad at.

Not wanting to dwell on it any longer I stepped into the shower  and stood under the faucet allowing the hot water to cascade down my body. As I stood there all I could think about was Tae, I decided that I'd stop by her house after going to see my mom, Ry was at school so I wouldn't see her until later.

Stepping out of the shower I wiped my body down and wrapped my towel around my waist. I cut on the fan and brushed my teeth as I left the door open so that the bathroom aired out. The steam began to disappear as I finished up my hygiene.

It took me a minute to actually figure out what I wanted to wear, after checking the weather and see that it was fifty five. I settled a black Nike sweatsuit and a matching beanie. After putting on my shoes I grabbed my keys from the dresser along with my phone, I then made sure my hearing aid was charged before slipping it into my ear.

Passing by the guest room I grabbed Mason's cars and his jacket that was sitting on the bed before jogging down the stairs and heading for the door.

The drive to my mom's wasn't long, I was surprised traffic wasn't too crazy considering it was lunch hour almost.

Pulling into my mom's driveway I put my car in park and pulled the keys from the ignition, I took a deep breath before getting out the car.

"Chris, you're not doing it right." My mom said with a chuckle as I sat the spatula down, she wanted to make Ry some cupcakes and had me help put icing on them, but I guess I was fucking it up.

"You asked me to help, momma so I'm helpin'." I said looking over at her as she glanced down at the messed up icing.

"I know angel, but it look like.. Bad." She laughed as I sucked my teeth.

I needed to start on this piece for Andre, I had been distracted with everything else around me that I didn't have time for my work.

"Here, let me show you," She said grabbing the container of vanilla icing, she then reached for the spatula icing the cupcake perfectly before holding it out for me to take. "like this."
