I was on my lunch break on set and we all gathered in my trailer for some reason. "How's Rose, scarjo?" Robert asked as I sat down next to Chris E. " she's good, she's starting to go to dance class, so that's all you hear about at the moment" I said laughing. Chris H started telling a story about his daughter and her obsession with wanting to act which I thought was really sweet. My phone started ringing so I got up to go.and answer it in the kitchen away from all the noise.
"Hello? Scarlett? Hello? You there?"
"Mathew?" I asked shocked. I hadn't heard that voice in a long time.
" Yeah, it's me, hi"
"What's up? What's happened?"
" I.. Know it's been a while and I'm sorry if this isn't convenient but I was hoping Madeline could come and live with you for a while. Just whilst I'm in Spain for a bit. "
"What? Why? I mean yes of course but what's happened why now?"
" She..umm.. Got kicked out of her boarding school and I would usually bring her with me but abuela thinks that it's best of she stays in the school she used to go to and that well is in America. "
"Yeah yeah no of course. When will she be coming?"
"Tomorrow"
" Tomorrow? What the fuck? "
"Yeah I know I'm sorry but I can't do anything about it. Look I have to go but just ask Allie if you need anything, we won't be arriving until the evening so that gives you time"
"Okay. I'll send you my address"
"Cheers Scarlett I got to go thanks again bye"
And before I could say anything the phone was hung up. I took a deep breath before going back into the room where all the others were.
"Everything okay Scarlett" Lizzie asked as I took the seat opposite her, next to Chris E.
"Um.. Yeah. I just got off the phone with maddie's dad and she is..umm.. She's coming to live with me for a bit." I answered.
" Scarlett that's so good" Chris E said excited
Everyone knew about Maddie and what happened as to why she didn't live with me and they were all supportive and helped to look after Rose when I couldn't hold it together. So I was forever grateful to them all.
"when is she coming" Robert asked.
"Tomorrow" I said.
"wow that's soon" Tom said shocked
"Yeah" I muttered. It was soon
"You okay Florence? You look very invested in your phone." Robert joked.
" yeah. No I'm good but I think I found Maddie's Instagram account" Florence said before connecting her phone to the tv.
"Is that her scar" Chris H asked.
"Uhh.. Yeah that's her" I say looking at the tv. She looks older, different but to me I can still see my green-eyed, blonde haired baby girl. Everyone's eyes were on the tv, watching my baby. She looked so happy. There were pictures with her friends, at dance and with her dad's family who I recognised straight away.
"I didn't know she danced" Lizzie said quietly
"Yeah she started when she was five. I didn't think she'd carry it on" I said sadily.
"Yeah well she seems to be really good. Look" Tom said pointing at a picture of her.

I just smiled and nodded continuing to eat my now cold pasta. All I could think about was seeing my no longer baby girl tomorrow. I missed her so much. Shit. What it she hates me?
