Chapter 28

Maddie's POV:

I opened the door and was greeted by Lizzie. She smiles at me and then walkes pass me into the house. Behind her was MY AUNTS!

I ran towards them and practically threw myself at them for a hug.

I missed them so much. I haven't seen them for nearly a year and I especially need them now. They laughed before hugging me back. I stayed in there embrace for what felt like ages. 

I knew my aunt's have busy lives and I am so grateful that they take time out to come and see me. Most of the time I'm in another country so they have to fly to me as well, but they do it anyway and I love them for that.

We make our way to the living room. Becca stood in front of my with her hands on her hips raising her eyebrows at me.

 "Is that what I think it is?" Allie and Allie stand next to her trying to see what she looking at. Charlie gasps and shakes her head at me.

 " Madeline Smith! you got a nose piecing! " she says. I smile sheepishly at her.

 "Surprise" I say sarcastically. They all shake there heads at me.

 "That's why whenever we FaceTime your barely in the frame" Allie says. I nod my head.

 "When did you get it?" Becca asks.

 "A few months ago." They nod.

 "Who did it for you?"

 "My friend Izzy. Her mum taught her. I though hey why not? It was when I was dying my hair back to blonde" Allie shakes her head at me before putting an arm around my shoulder.

 "I assume your father didn't know" I shake my head smiling at her. Her and my dad don't get along. Allie doesn't agree with the way my dad parents me. She is always having arguments with him about it, becca and Charlie like to stay out of it.

She laughs it off. I thought she was going to say some more things about it but she didn't and I'm glad. I love aunts more than anything and they have been with me through everything but I don't want to have to argue with them right now.

We all sat down in the living room and just talked about what was new in there life. There was another knock at the door and I stood up to get it. 

There was a box outside with Maddie scribbled across it. I opened it to find one empty monster energy drink can. I know exactly who's that is.

I walked back into the living room.

 "Allie where is Leo?" I asked. She just smiled at me and shrugged her shoulders. I walked back outside and looked around. Okay where is this idiot?

A rock landed at my feet and I looked towards Scarlett's car to find Leo stood there grinning ear to ear. He opened his arms and yelled.

 "You like your gift?" I ran to me and hugged him. He lifted me in the air and spun me around. I missed this dickhead so much!

He put me down and we turned around to see everyone at the front door watching.

 "We have an audience" he whispered to me. I smiled at him and we ran to the door. Everyone went back inside and we followed. Leo laughing his head off about how funny his gift was. Oh how I want to wipe the smirk of his face, but I don't think Scarlett would like that very much.

Colin ordered take out and we all sat around the dining room table and ate. This is nice. I'm glad that my aunt's and Leo are here. 

I could see Scarlett in the corner of my eye glancing at me, but I'm ignoring it. I know that Allie is going to talk to me about what's happening with her but if I'm honest, I'm over it. Me ignoring her is working so far so why not continue too until I leave. I mean I'm leaving here soon anyway and it's not like I'm going to stay in contact with her when I leave either. Allie definitely won't agree with that.
