Part 12 - Light At The End Of The Dark

Hiccups POV:

I got up panting and ran over to Y/n pushing off the ice that fell on her.
"Y/n you can't be dead. I-I love you!" I shouted, my voice thick with grief
"No... Y/n," my mum said running over with my father. My mum put her head on y/n's chest and listened for a heart beat as my dad put his hands on my shoulders from behind me
"No you..." I started today before my mum got up lightly shaking her head to show you/n was in fact dead.
"No..." was all I could say.
The alpha looked at us sadly before walking away again.
I heard people landing and looked to see Astrid coming over to comfort me.
Toothless came over sadly and tried to put his nose under y/ns hand
"No get away from her!" I shouted pushing him away. He made a sad noise but I continued shouting
"Go on get out of here! Go away!" With that I fell to my knees crying
"It's not his fault, you know that," my mum said sadly.
The alpha roared and all the dragons flew away, except the baby's of course, they listen to no one.
"Good dragons, under the control of bad people, do bad things." My mum continues we watched the rest of the dragons take off. I saw Toothless try to join them but since he can't fly he just kept falling. Drago got onto of him and hit him with his staff
"Toothless no!" I found myself shouting as I ran over
"No don't" my mother spoke again.
I had never felt this pain before. It was unbearable. Why did she have to die?

Y/N POV

As I awoke and tried to stand I had so much pain in my stomach that it caused me to fall back over. All I could see for miles was a bright white light, when suddenly a familiar figure approached me
"Mother?" I questioned
"Yes dear it's me" she said pulling me in for a hug
"H-how is this happening? Am I... dead?" I questioned then everything came back to me Drago, the war and jumping infront of Hiccup to save his life.
"No y/n you arn't dead yet theres still time" my mother said softly
"But I want to stay here with you..." I started to cry
"Shh darling I know but it's not your time yet."
"It wasn't yours either!" I shouted
"I know, I know but just look" she said softly removing herself from the warm hug.
A window type thing opened and I could see Hiccup over the top of me and my lifeless body just lying there. I felt sick seeing how much he cared for me. Everyone who loves me seems to get hurt...
" go y/n... go back to them,"
"Ill miss you mum,"
"We'll meet again darling and I'm always watching"
Suddenly everything faded and it was so bright I had to close my eyes. When I opened them I shot up and saw the gang, Stoick, Valka all standing over me
"She's awake!" Someone said
"H-how is this possible?" Astrid said
"A mother's love is more powerful than any Earthly force," Valka said as I begane to stand. It took a minute to regale my balance but I was up and pushing through the pain. I turned around to see Hiccup staring at me in awe
"What is it? Have I got something on my face?" I said embarrassed
"No it's just... I thought I lost you..."
"Hiccup don't be silly, you can't loose me that easily" I said with a laugh and pulled him into a hug. We stayed like that for a while until Astrid spoke up
"So em what's the plan?"
"We're going back!" Hiccup said
"With what? I hate to break to you but all the dragons left," Tuffnut said
"Not all of them," I said knowing exactly what Hoccups plan is while everyone else just looked confused.

We flew out on the babies and became our journey to Berk. Needless to say it was an interesting trip considering they weren't exactly trained.
"Hiccup how did you know the babies wouldn't leave?"  Astrid questioned.
With a grin Hiccup replied
"They're babies they listen to no one!"

REALLY EVENTFULLY SCARY BABY FLYING TIME SKIP

Once we were at Berk the others went to distract the alpha and Hiccup went to try get Toothless back. I went to go calm down the villagers and let them know it would all be okay since I couldn't fight with my injuries.
I watched as the twins and Snotlout used the sheep catapult they use for dragon racing to put sheep in front of the alphas face, keeping its control off of toothless whilst Hiccup went up to him and Drago.
