Part 4 - Hiccup

We headed back to their 'village' which they called The Edge. All the huts were amazing and straight away I could tell which one was the brunettes since it had a large night fury head design on the front.
" wow your island is amazing!" I said joyfully,
"Thank you, we designed it ourselves" the slightly cocky black haired boy replied.
"Come on let's take you to the clubhouse and introduce you to everyone," the brunette said.

After walking for a few minutes we made it to the clubhouse and the brunette boy - who I now knew was called Hiccup - started introducing me to everyone and I introduced myself,
"Okay so you've met Fishlegs and his dragon Meatlug"
This was the chubby blonde boy I had previously met along with his Gronkle,
"Next is Snotlout and his monstrous nightmare Hookfang" This was the cocky, black haired boy I had also saw earlier.
Then 3 more people walked in and introduced themselves,
"Hi I'm Astrid and this is Stormfly, nice to meet you!" A blonde girl greeted with her deadly nadder beside her, next a boy and girl who I assumed were twins came in with a large zippelback,
"Hi I'm Tuffnut and this is my worse half Ruffnut," the boy said with an eye roll at the mention of his sister. I can't lie this made me giggle.
We then started eating with light convo here and there and then asking questions about how I managed to find Amethyst. I told them my story of how my village kills dragons and how I found Amethyst in the woods but I didn't fully trust them enough to tell them my whole background and how I was next in line to be Chief.

Hiccups POV (surprise!!)

Today has been so eventful so far, I mean it's not everyday you find a random girl and a night fury on your island!
As we finished up eating and talking a good few hours went by and before I knew it it was just me and y/n sitting in the clubhouse we sat in a comfortable silence with us and our dragons for awhile before I decided to ask the question I had been wondering all day
"So y/n what made you decide you didn't want to kill dragons," She looked lost in thought as I said this, I guess she herself hadn't really thought about it much.
"Well I'm not too sure really I just always hated the way my village treated them," She paused for a moment and stroked her dragons head as it purred,
"I mean I guess I just always knew they weren't so bad... well not always I did use to enjoy watching what the older kids done but one day I just couldn't stand it anymore," she sighed as if regretting not realising sooner. I was about to comfort her when she spoke up again,
" So how did you manage to find toothless?" My heart dropped when this question came out her mouth and I guessed she realised that because she told me I didn't have to tell her
"No I want to it's alright. I'm just ashamed of the way I thought before that's all,"
"Hey I guess we both have something in common then," y/n said with a comforting smile.
"Yeah I guess so" I replied, returning the smile
"Basically before I met Toothless my village was a place that was pretty much kill or be killed. It meant everything to kill a dragon. One night there was a raid and I was working in the blacksmiths, I was quite weak and frowned upon so I pretty much just sharpened weapons for the 'better' vikings. Anyway someone shouted 'night fury!' And I knew that was my change to show myself so I got the bola launcher I had made and took it to a cliff. Long story short I caught Toothless in it, then I realised dragons weren't all the bad, we became best buds, blah blah blah, killed the red death and other Vikings on my Island, Berk started getting dragons of their own. We have been together ever since. Haven't we bud?" I said scratching under Toothless' chin.
"Wow your story is amazing, I can't believe you changed a whole village's perspective!" Y/n said in awe.
"Well haha we are Vikings it means we're stubborn" I replied
"So if you don't mind me asking how did you loose your leg and what about Toothless' missing tail fin," she spoke again
"I guess his fin got stuck in the net when I shot him down but it's okay he couldn't save all of me in the fight with the red death so peg leg!" I exclaimed as toothless Licked my face
"Ugh come on Toothless. You know that doesn't wash out!" Y/n started laughing at me getting 'attacked' before Amethyst came and done the same to her,
"Amethyst - stop - please!" She said inbetween laughs.
Soon enough both dragons stopped and gurgled what resembled a laugh at us as we sat in a fit of laughs now on the floor.

After we had both calmed down I realised it was getting late
"Come on Y/n we better go back to my hut,"
"Okay," she replied and with that we walked back to my place. I can't lie today has been the most fun I've had in a while and I think that is because of her.

Y/n POV

After going back to hiccups hut and saying our goodnights, I slept in the spare room and he went to his own bed.
Today has been amazing! It's the most fun I've had in ages and I can't lie I think that's because of him.

A/N

SORRY THIS CHAPTER IS A BIT RUSHED IM RUBBISH AT DIALOGUES BUT THIS CHAPTER NEEDED A LOT TO SHOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH YOU AND HICCUP AND TO INTRODUCE THE GANG
IM GOING TO SKIP THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS IN THE NEXT CHAPTER SINCE IT WILL JUST BE YOU GETTING CLOSER WITH THE GANG AND AMETHYST. SORRY TO ANYONE WHO DOESNT LIKE THAT IDEA I FEEL LIKE IT WOULD JUST BEEN ALOT OF CHAPTERS WITH NOTHING INTERESTING GOING DOWN 🙂
