Anger is always more harmful than the insult that caused it.

Chay tried. He tried multiple times to talk to Kim. He even tried to approach him to no avail. It seems like Kim is avoiding him. Or, perhaps, still mad at him. Chay tried to apologize and make a conversation, but Kim kept dismissing him. Kim doesn't even look him in the eye like he doesn't even exist. This hurt Chay a lot.
Chay is a straightforward person. He likes annoying Kim from day until night. He likes disturbing his peace. Now he can't do it anymore. Everything has changed. He felt like it was his first day working again. He felt like walking on eggshells. He really wants to talk to Kim, but he doesn't want to push Kim's patience to its edge. He might end up dead this time.
"Porchay, are you even listening to me?" Big's voice entered Chay's ears. He jumped a little as he focused back on him. He was staring into nothing again, his mind all over the place.
Chay bit his lip anxiously, "I-I'm sorry, Phi. What are you saying again?" he said. He can feel other bodyguards' eyes on him which makes him conscious. They were currently at a meeting for the upcoming Pleasure Supper event that the Theerapanyakul family will attend. To Chay's surprise, he was part of this dinner with an important role as Big said.
Big clicked his tongue and shook his head in disapproval, "Porchay, I need you to listen attentively. You are Khun Kim's chaperone for the event. You should never leave his side nor take away your eyes on him. We will be all over the place to guard and watch over for any danger possible." Big said.
Chay bit his inside cheek. Does it really have to be him? Kim is not a kid anymore, he doesn't need any chaperone to accompany him. But, this is a direct order from the main house. There's nothing Chay can do. Well, he can take this chance to speak with Kim. That if ever Kim would acknowledge his presence.
"Khun Kim was already informed about this. He didn't say much, but he didn't object, anyway." Big added. Chay just nodded in response. He wondered what Kim thought about it. He just worried that Kim might get the wrong idea of Chay watching over him.

The night of the dinner came and Chay felt uncomfortable. It was his first time at a formal dinner full of rich people. Perhaps, other mafia families too. Other than that, his tuxedo is extremely itchy.
"Well, you look human at least," Big commented when Chay came out of his room. He is wearing his usual bodyguard uniform with a Theerapanyakul family crest badge.
Chay sighed, "Thanks for pointing out that I don't look like a human every day, Phi." he said, scratching the itchiness at his neck. He wonders if he will ever get used to this kind of life. He's a housekeeper, for fuck's sake.
"We should go. Khun Kim is already waiting for us." Big said and left, while Chay followed suit.
The moment Chay saw Kim, he felt his heart skip a beat. Kim is wearing a white tuxedo with a black tie. His long hair is slicked back. Fuck. He's handsome. Too damn handsome. Kim just looked at Chay from head to toe, which made him feel conscious, and left. Chay blew raspberries in disappointment. He thought Kim would say something about his outfit.
Chay thought this was going to be a long, long night.

The dinner is going really well. Kim's father and brother, Kinn, were there. He was told that his brother was there as well. They might meet each other later. But now, Chay's focus was on his job. Chay just stayed beside Kim as he was commanded to. It was an easy task since Kim didn't move from his seat the moment the event started.
