"When people cared about each other, they always found a way to make it work."

Kim was too busy to pretend to be Wik, he forgot the reality he had. Isn't that the reason he created Wik? To forget? However, there's only one person who always slaps him on his reality. His father.

It is ridiculous because his father only talked to him about the mission he was giving him. Why does he have to go to Kim personally if he can just send him a message or let one of the guards tell him about it like they always do? His father's action is getting way more suspicious than it already was.

Kim and his father talked about his upcoming mission as they waited for his brothers. It's quite a dangerous mission. Well, all missions are dangerous, but only Kim can handle the harder ones. Also, it is way more intimidating if a Theerapanyakul handles a mission than a bodyguard. Specifically, if it's Kim, it is guaranteed the success of the mission. There are only two things that could possibly happen after this mission: first, he would succeed but badly wounded; and second, dead. Kim often chose the latter.

The restaurant was empty. Perhaps, Korn booked the whole place for tonight. Somehow, it was a great relief to Kim when his brothers showed up at the restaurant. He felt like he was holding his breath the entire time he was spending his time with his father alone. Of course, he received a tight, literally breathtaking hug from Tankhun. He said he misses his little brother.

The dinner went oddly well. His brothers' presence made the night a bit bearable. A spontaneous family dinner wasn't on Kim's bingo card. He can't say it was good, it was not all bad either. After all, it was his brothers who kept him sane all the time even though they also gave him headaches.

By the end of the supper, Kim is already pretty tired. To be fair, he hasn't got any rest from his events and now he has to plan for a mission his father gave him.

"I will see you again soon, Kimhan."

Those words from his father gave Kim chills on his spine. If given a chance, he doesn't want to see his father at all but he knows he can't avoid him forever. Yet, those words were something else. Kim has this gut feeling that this won't be good. Not only for him but also for someone else.

"A penny for your thoughts?" a voice suddenly spoke to Kim, disturbing his internal trance. It's Porchay who just entered his room. He smiled at him widely, "I did knock." he said mischievously. Kim rolled his eyes. No, he didn't knock. Kim would hear it even in deep thought. He knows Porchay was just messing up with him.

"What do you want?" he asked. He sat on his sofa and pretended to scroll something on his phone. Porchay walked across his room and opened his curtains. Kim flinched with the sudden blazing light entering his room. He scoffed, "Why do you always open those curtains?" he complained.

"To light up your room, Khun Kim," Porchay told him cheerfully. If only Porchay knew that it wasn't only Kim's room that he lit up. He sat beside him and turned to him, "So? What seems to be bothering you, Khun Kim?"

"Nothing," Kim replied. "It was none of your business," he mumbled under his breath, enough for Porchay to hear. He scrolled through his phone once more, trying to ignore suspicious stares from Porchay.

Chay replied with a disapproving grunt, "You don't have to hide anything from me, Khun Kim." he started. "How was your dinner with your father? Was it good?" he asked.

Kim stopped his movements and licked his inside cheek, "It was fine. The food, I mean. Other than that, it was bearable, I guess." he replied.

"Did you have fun?" Chay asked. The question made Kim look at Porchay. His eyes were curious and sincere. Like he really wanted to know what happened to Kim that night. It was encouraging for Kim to go on and tell him everything.
