"Thank you for what you just did. But that doesn't change that you're too cowardly to be honest with me..."
—
The sound of shattering glass alarmed Kim and he immediately ran to where the source of it was. He discovered Porchay standing in his office, unmoving and seemingly in shock. Papers and a few glass shards were scattered on the floor, and so was their broken framed picture. "Sweetheart, are you okay? What happened?" Kim asked. He frowned when Porchay didn't answer him. That's when he noticed the familiar slightly crumpled paper on his boyfriend's hands. He realized then how fucked up everything is now.
Chay felt his world suddenly stopped. His mind filled with so much confusion. His breathing also seems to stop. He could feel his heart painfully shattering in his chest. Hot tears are starting to brim his eyes. His core was shaking. His hands were trembling so much. He could feel his knees getting weaker by the second.
Katherine Theerapanyakul—Kim's mother, caused the accident that killed Nampueng Kittisawat and Chaiphat Kittisawat—Porchay's parents. What? This isn't true, right? There must be some mistakes. He had to ask Kim. Kim will tell him the truth, right? Kim won't lie to him. Then, why is this in his office? Does he know? For how long? It broke Chay once more. Did Kim just keep this from him? There's no damn way Kim could do this to him. Kim promised him. He promised...
Chay was completely unaware that Kim was already right in front of him and calling him. He was staring at him with eyes full of different emotions. Worry. Pain. Guilt. Chay wanted to break down right there. Just by mere looking at Kim almost confirmed every question he had in his mind. Tears filled his eyes and started to fall on his cheeks. With a shaky voice and quivering lips, he asked, "W-What's this?"
"Porchay... Sweetheart... Let me explain." Kim started, his face softening. Chay remained silent, waiting for him to speak; to explain, but nothing. Kim can't even look him in the eye. Chay was so confused. He needs someone to explain everything to him. He needs someone to tell him this isn't true, but the person he was expecting to do it wasn't even uttering a single fucking word. Anger starts to boil in him.
Suddenly, Kim's phone rang. What a damn timing this fucking phone call was. The phone kept ringing and ringing, the sound of it was starting to irritate Chay. "Answer the phone," he commanded in a low voice. If this damn phone call is not more important than this, he will curse whoever it was. Kim gulped and shook his head. Chay was frustrated at this point. "Answer the damn phone, Kim!" he screamed at him.
Chay moved closer to him sharply and fished out the phone from Kim's pocket. Kim didn't even resist. He was frozen and silent on his spot. If Kim will not answer the phone, then he will. Chay looked at the caller ID, it was Kinn. Maybe Kinn knows. Maybe he will explain everything to him that Kim couldn't. Chay answered it. Instead of hearing Kinn's voice, it was someone else.
"Where's my brother? I need to speak to Porchay!" Porsche shouted from the other line. Chay wanted to cry more. Hearing his brother's voice gave him mixed emotions. Relief. Pain. Does his brother know too?
Chay sniffed, composed himself, and sighed deeply, "H-Hia, it's me." he said. Chay saw Kim snap his head towards him, this caused the two to have a staring match. Kim still has the same emotions in his eyes, while Chay only has rage in them.
"Chay, is that you? Are you still in the Theerapanyakul penthouse?" Porsche asked. Chay could hear another man's voice at the other line. Perhaps, it was Kinn. He and his brother were having a screaming match. It was almost inaudible. Chay doesn't care. He was so mad to care. So fucking mad. No words could describe how angry he is.
He nodded as if his brother could see him, "Y-Yes, Hia. I'm still here." he answered as he wiped away a tear that fell from his eye. He even pinched the bridge of his nose to stop himself from crying.
