Jasmine's POV
Naglalakad ako sa hallway ng hospital nang biglang may bumangga sa akin. I look down and it was Heidi.
"Hello there, Heidi." I greeted her cheerfully. Galing ako sa kwarto nila dad, dahil ngayon ang follow up check-up niya.
Napansin ko ang matamis na ngiti nito habang nakatingin sa akin. "Who are you with?" I asked her gently.
"My ate." Sagot niya at hinawakan ako sa kamay. "Let's find her." She said and giggle. Hinila niya ako kaya naglakad-lakad kami hanggang sa makita namin siyang nakatayo sa harapan ng front desk.
"Ate Iza!" Tawag ni Heidi at tumakbo palapit habang hawak-hawak ang kamay ko kaya sumunod ako.
Lumuhod si Riza para tapatan ito. "Saan ka nagpunta? Pinakaba mo si ate." I notice that Riza is soft to her sister. I just witness another version of Riza.
"Who are you with?" She asked Heidi and glance at me.
"She is ate..." Heidi said and stop. She look up at me that's why I smile. "I am Ate Jasmine."
"She is ate Jasmine the one I am telling you who saved me." She innocently said which I find cute.
Tumayo si Riza saka tumingin sa akin. "I know that we didn't have a good encounter towards each other but I am grateful that you saved my sister. My friend as well, Shekina told me the whole story." She said and held his hand to me. The table is turning like how I wanted to.
"It's the right thing to do." I said and accepted her hand. She is cool to be with, maldita nga lang talaga minsan. I am finally breaking down her wall.
"Ate Iza, I am hungry." Mahinang sambit ni Heidi kaya tumingin kami sa kaniya.
"Let's grab some snack then." Riza said and smile at her sister. "Where do you want to go?" She asked Heidi.
"I want sweets." She answered and a cafe pop up in my mind.
"I know a place where we can have sweets." I suggested that's why they glance at me.
We entered the Cloud Cafe and I heard Heidi complimenting about the ambience of it. She looks adorable while her eyes brightens. Lumapit kami sa counter at naabutan si Lilly.
"Hey Lilly flower." Bati ko sa kaniya at ngumiti. She is glowing even more.
"Hey Verlice!" Bati niya pabalik at tumingin sa mga kasama ko. "Hey there sweetie." Nakangiting bati niya kay Heidi.
Nagkulitan sila saglit bago kami mag-order. Medyo madami ang pinili ni Heidi kaya hindi masyadong nag-order si Riza dahil alam niyang siya na naman uubos sa pagkain ng kapatid.
"I love the ambience here. It's chill and artistic because of the designs." Riza complimented while scanning the place. It's funny that we almost curse each other back then but now, we are good like nothing happened.
"Ate let's take a photo." Aya ni Heidi kaya binigay sa akin ni Riza ang kaniyang cellphone.
I was taking photos when I heard Heidi calling a familiar name behind me. I look back and I was stunned because my face is one inch apart from Prof Kiglen's chin. I look up and I met his eyes staring at me.
"Kuya Glen." Umatras ako nang maramdaman ko ang presensiya ni Heidi na lumapit.
"Hey Heidi." Bati ni Prof Kiglen habang nakangiti kay Heidi at ginulo ang buhok nito.
"What a coincidence." Sabi ni Prof Kiglen at tumingin sa akin. "It's a miracle also that you're both in one table without fighting." He added and glance at Riza.
"Heidi want to grab some snacks and Jasmine suggested this nice place. I am cool with her, she already proved her self in the arena. I misunderstood her." Paliwanag ni Riza. She misunderstood me? Why?
"Kuya Glen, join us." Aya ni Heidi kay Prof Kiglen at hinala ito palapit sa table namin. The set up is that katabi ko si Riza then infront of her is Heidi while mine is Prof Kiglen.
"Did you order already po?" I asked with respect because there are people around us.
"Yes Ms. Verlice." Sagot niya. He is kinda formal today.
"So paano mo nakilala si Ms. Verlice, Heidi?" Tanong ni Sir Kiglen.
"Siya po iyung nag-save sa akin." Sagot ni Heidi.
"I see." Sagot ni Sir Kiglen.
Nag-usap pa ang dalawa habang nakikinig kami ni Riza hanggang sa dumating ang pagkain namin.
"Hmm... ang sarap ng foods" Masayang puri ni Heidi habang kumakain ng slice of cake.
"I knew it." Sabi ko at ngumiti sa kaniya.
Pagkatapos namin na kumain ay nag-aya silang gumala muna sa isang mall na malapit. Sumama na ako dahil matagal pa naman ang labas ni dad sa hospital.
"Ate, gusto ko ito." Nakangiting sabi ni Heidi kay Riza. Nandito kami ngayon sa isang toy store dahil gusto ni Heidi na bumili ng bagong laruan.
"Hawakan ko na." Sabi ni Prof Kiglen at hinawakan ang pinamili nila Riza. I never thought that they had a nice relationship with each other.
Habang naglalakad kami ay biglang hinila ni Heidi si Riza kaya sumunod kami ni Prof Kiglen. Grabe ang energy ni Heidi. "Ate, I want ice cream." Mapupungay na matang sabi ni Heidi.
"Kuya, apat nga pong ice cream." Sabi ni Riza sa nagbabantay. The ice cream house design is cute.
I am enjoying their company with me. "Thank you." Pasalamat ko sa nagbebenta.
Pagkatapos namin na maglibot ay nagpaalam na ako sa kanila para sunduin sila dad. "I had a great day. Thank you." Nakangiti kong sabi. Sasabay na sila Riza kay Prof Kiglen para ihatid sa kanila.
"You drive carefully." Professor Kiglen gently said while the siblings are inside his car.
"Ikaw rin po.Ingat." Nakangiti kong sabi.
Pagkarating ko sa hospital ay saktong nasa entrance na sila dad. "Dumaan muna tayo sa drive thru bago tayo umuwi." Sabi ni dad kaya tumango ako.
