(A/N: This is a canon OVA. It takes place after the Snowball.)
Today is Valentine's Day in Hawkins school and everyone was in awe, secret valentines and what-not. It was fun for everyone but not for El. All day she had gotten a few handfuls of Valentine Day cards and one from Mike as a secret Valentine but El couldn't care about any of that. She only cared about one thing. Zero. It was 10 minutes till school ended and she was ready to get out of the school and bike straight to Hopper's Cabin. But until then she eagerly watches the clock as the other students pack their bags to leave.
Lucas: Someone is oddly excited.
Max: I wonder why?
El turns to see the party, mostly decked in valentine's decorations.
Dustin: She has a secret.
El: Dustin...
Will: Please most of us know about it.
Will says this as he hides the card which was an invitation he got from James in his bag.
El sighs and puts her backpack on the desk and opens it.
Mike: Holy shit!
Mr. Clarke: Michael.
Mike: Sorry!
Lucas: Is that...
El: Yes.
Will: But aren't you...
El: Yeah, I talked about it with Hopper.
Mike: How... and why?
El: I talked to Zero and he said he was getting me a present, so I went out of the way to get him one.
Lucas: I wonder if his is expensive like yours.
Max: Why must presents to you boys be about money?
Mike: What's that mean?
Dustin: She means you idiots think that money will solve relationship issues.
Max: Presents hold a lot more meaning. it signifies love.
El: Pretty strong word but yeah.
???: Hey Mike.
Mike and the party turn to see the girl he had danced with at the snowball, and she hands him a valentine's card.
???: Here.
Mike takes it as he is confused.
Mike: You chose me?
???: Yeah, you're pretty fun to hangout with. Later.
Mike: Later.

Mike puts the letter in his bag as the rest of them look at him with a grin.
Mike: What?
Max: Don't 'what' us. You know.
Lucas: Dude isn't that the girl you danced with at the snowball?
Mike: Yeah, we met again at the arcade, and we just got along. why?
Dustin: Mike, she just gave you a valentine's card.
Mike: She also said I'm fun to hang out with.
El: How can someone be so dense.
