In the Mall we see walls around the storage room begin to shift causing panic to ensue inside of it. Inside of it were Steve, Dustin, Robin, Becky and Erica screaming holding on for dear life.
Dustin: (mashing the buttons) Shit! Shit!
Steve: We're going down! We're going down!
Robin: No shit, Harrington!
Dustin: (mashing and screaming) Why don't these buttons work!?
Erica: Press the button!
Dustin: What do you think I'm doing!?
Becky: Come on! Press something! Just press the button!
Erica: Press it!
Just then, the elevator comes to an immediate stop. Boxes fall off the shelves, the group falls flat. Steve is buried under a pile of boxes.
Steve: (in pain) My groin! It fell on my groin. Dustin, get this off of me!
Dustin goes to help Steve, but he struggles with the heavy box.
Robin: Is everyone okay?
Becky: Yeah, I'm fine. I just need to know what the hell is going on!
Steve: Yeah, I'm great now that I know Russians can't design elevators!
Steve then starts mashing the buttons.
Dustin: We've clearly established that those buttons don't work.
Steve: They're buttons. They do something.
Robin: If we had a key card.
Steve: A what?
Robin: It's an electronic lock. Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate meaning...
Dustin: We're stuck here.
Becky: I go for ice cream and now I'm in a Russian elevator, great.
Erica: Just as you two nerds are aware, I'm supposed to be spending the night at Tina's, but Tina always covers for me. But if I'm not home for Uncle Jack's party tomorrow, any my mom finds out you three are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat.
Steve: (angry) I don't are about Tina! Or Uncle Jack's party! *sighs* Your mom's not going to be able to find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator!
Becky: I could probably be able to cover for that part. But anyways, I was thinking... what if we climbed out?
Becky points to a hatch in the ceiling.
*TIMESKIP NO JUTSU*
The hatch door opens. Dustin climbs out. Steve is right behind him. They look up, in awe.
Steve: Ms. Becky! That idea about climbing isn't a good idea after all.
Steve's voice echoes as the camera pulls back, going up the shaft. 2, 3, 4, 10, 15, floors.
*COUNTRY ROAD (TAKE ME HOME) *
Hopper's truck speeds down an empty road.
Inside the truck we see Hopper taking a drag from his cigarette. Joyce sitting beside him as they follow a road map and Terry is waiting it the back. She is stretched out and is basically laying down on the seats.
Soon they reach Hess Farm as his truck pulls in, passing a mailbox with the name Hess painted on the side. Once they pull closer to the house, they notice something.
Hopper: Looks like somebody's home.
Terry gets up and looks out the window with Joyce as they see what he means.
