(A/N: I will no longer be using the Russian language for every time someone speaks in Russian. I was really just using google translate to be honest but also because it takes a long time to find a sentence translate it through google translate which might not even be accurate and copy and paste it here only for me to them have it change to plain text after copy and pasting. It's a whole process and I want to make this easier on me and make these chapters come out soon for y'all. If you guys are okay with this let me know. I don't know Russian, so I apologize for messing up. With that out of the way let's get right into the chapter.)
Going back to the Mallrats we see Russian scientists are watching the KEY as if continues to open the gate. Through the window in the doors at the back of the room are Dustin, Becky, Steve, Robin and Erica.
Steve/Becky/Dustin: The gate.
They move back into the stairwell and explain the situation while going back into the Comms room.
Robin: I don't understand. You've seen this before?
Dustin: Not exactly.
Robin: Then what, exactly?
Becky: All you need to know is it's bad.
Steve: It's really bad.
They reach the Comms room.
Dustin: Like, end-of-the-human-race-as-we-know-it kind of bad.
Robin: And you know about this how?
Erica: Um, Steve? Where's your Russian friend?
The Russian soldier Steve knocked out earlier, has vanished. Or did he ever exist to begin with?
An alarm rings throughout the bunker as Steve runs over to the exit. He opens the door to find a group of soldiers. Once they see Steve, they advance.
Steve:
Steve slams the door. He and the rest run back towards the observation room. They then burst through the door and stop. Some of the Russian scientists stop and stare at them.
Dustin, Steve, Becky, Erica and Robin run downstairs and into the rift chamber as soldiers burst in. The group scurry across a catwalk reaching the end of the KEY, it's beam of energy relentlessly working to open the Gate. They are in awe.
As the soldiers get closer, the group runs in the opposite direction... and go down another set of stairs as they see a scientist in a Hazmat suit ascending the same stairs.
Becky:
The scientist gets decked extremely hard in the face and falls down some of the stair's unconscious as the group is surprised but keep moving to get away.
Dustin: Where did you learn that?!
Becky: My sister and niece aren't the only ones who would train in the house.
Steve: Jeez. Imagine what she could do to Billy.
Erica: Less talking, more running!
They continue their escape as more soldiers burst through the door. Steve thinking quickly knocks over a stack of barrels, blocking the soldiers' path even if it is for a short time.
