Sick - Law x F! Reader - Mini Fic 2

You flopped on your bed, it took a lot out of you to just pack up some of your essentials. Law had told you to pack light for today, because like predicted, you had docked at an island. You were feeling bad for not telling the crew yet, with plans to just up and leave.

You were convinced Robin had clued into what was happening, despite hiding your packed bags, and true feelings, she just had infuriatingly great intuition.

However today was d-day, and you just wanted to get it over with, you hated the attention, and you hated goodbyes. Especially ones where there's no guaranteed hello again. You breathed in, picking up your bag and heading out onto deck. Everyone was already up, preparing for island adventure, and assuming you were getting extra rest after the ordeal you had.

You lugged your bag to the deck. "I told you to pack light" Law frowned reaching his hand out to take the bag from you. Sheepishly, you handed it over. "Sorry this was as light as I could make it". He shook his head as he slung his arm holding the duffel bag over his shoulder.

"What's going on?" Usopp asked, as he stopped dead from his morning antics with Luffy, clueing into your conversation. "What's in the bag?" Luffy followed up as he too came to a stop behind Usopp. You turned to look back at Law before plucking up the courage to turn back. "Gather the crew".

"What" Luffy shouted. "Oh man" Zoro commented. You could have predicted how it was going to go down. "No you can't just take my Nakama" Luffy's aura grew dark as he stood up to Law.

"If she doesn't come with me she will die Strawhat" Law informed. "No she won't, she's not dying, you would've said right" Luffy looked to you, a desperate look in his eyes. You averted your eyes to the ground, having not disclosed that part yet.

"Y/n right" he came over and shook your shoulders, anything to get you to speak. "Come on" his tone raised, grief lining his voice as he grew more desperate by the minute. "Enough" Sanji spoke up, pulling him away.

"I'm sorry, it's true". With your lip quivering you finally looked up to meet your crews faces. A mixture of horror, grief and shock. "Traffy thinks he can save me" you shakily explained. "I've made the decision to go with him" you attempted to smile, but it didn't reach your eyes.

"Why can't you treat her here?" Nami stepped in. "We don't have the equipment" Chopper answered. In all the chaos you hadn't even felt the iron grip he had on your leg. You closed your eyes and took in a deep breath as everyone spoke over each other.

"Enough" Luffy called out, his had shrouding his eyes in darkness. "You'll take good care of her". He raised his head to meet Law's eyes. "Of course" Law answered, as stoic and professional as always. "Then go, you hear me" Luffy started. "Go and bring her back alive" he shouted, tears in his eyes.

Law nodded. "I'll meet you on the sub" Law informed before leaving with your bag, so you could have a moment with the crew.

"Y/n we had no idea" Nami cried clinging onto you, joined quickly by Sanji, Chopper, Luffy, Usopp and Franky. You could hear sniffles and feel tears being spread between everyone. If tears could save someone you'd live forever.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm in good hands and I'm a fighter" you smiled, cupping Nami's face and then, Luffy's, Usopp's and finally Chopper's. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you more, I failed as a doctor" Chopper sniffled, still gripping onto you. You shook your head. "You're the perfect doctor, I couldn't ask for better, Traffy wouldn't be able to save me either without his devil fruit" you comforted.

You quickly hugged the rest of the crew goodbye, before going to meet Law on the Polar Tang. Your crew watched as you stepped onto the deck of the heart pirates sub. You suddenly felt it reverberate through you as Luffy shouted. "TRAFFY".
