"And you let him touch it?". You deflated with a sigh grabbing the bridge of your nose, you let Law's words get under your skin. It wasn't your fault. Shachi was a grown man, you didn't let him do anything. Law tutted. "We need a drip, anti venom and we're going to give him a shot for tetanus just incase" Law ordered, sending you on a mission to grab everything, since it was only the three of you on the vessel.
You nodded sending one last sympathetic look to Shachi. You noticed how quickly his arm had swelled so you wasted no time in running around the room grabbing everything to hand off to Law, luckily everyone on his crew is medically trained to some degree, so you handled this no problem.
"I'm going to need you to grab the heart monitor as well" Law added, pointing in the direction you'd find it. You rolled your eyes, knowing how easy it would be for him to shambles the thing in. Instead you wheeled it in from another room.
"Okay 3..2.." you watched as Law plunged the various needles into Shachi's skin, whilst he writhed around in pain. "You'll feel better soon" you mumbled.
"You're not done, hook him up". You almost envied your captains ability to be calm in this situation, you had panicked with every step it took do drag Shachi back. After he was bitten you had immediately looked around for any crewmates to help, cursing Penguin and Bepo for going off without you both.
Taking a step toward Shachi you breathed in, you had to attach the stickers to his bare chest, which luckily for you he had already been stripped down, but you still felt a tad nervous.
Law observed you, like a rigid robot as you picked out your sticker spots attaching them delicately. You heard steps behind you, "come here I'll just do it" Law's voice followed with an annoyed tone.
"No, I've got it" yours was curt, and if you weren't afraid it'd be considered insubordination you'd have slapped his hand away too. You could feel the sweat on your brow entirely too much, and your hand shook under his scrutinising observation, but you did it. You attached all the clips.
"You did a good job" he praised, walking to the door and leaning in the doorway. You were just happy to see Shachi had calmed. You could only offer the poor boy a soft smile, choosing to sit beside him, but your eyes were on you Captain.
"I'm just glad he's okay". Your shoulders had noticeably relaxed as you spoke, with you now just realising just how stressful the last half an hour had been. "Well I'll leave you to watch over him, note down his results" Law announced, turning to go back to his work. "Uh Captain wait" you called out, hoping he'd stick around for a moment.
"What is it?" He asked, looking to you for a quick answer. "You do know I didn't let him touch it right?" You questioned, drawing back to his earlier words. You watched as a small smirk broke onto his face. "Sure". He waved his hand as he walked away, leaving you to wonder what he really meant.
