When Law invited you to join his crew he wasn't prepared for your actual personality. He had seen you fight and you were serious, level headed, calculated even. He needed someone like that in his crew. However when you were finally relaxed afterward it was different.
You were loud, bubbly, you had an infectious laugh and an appetite bigger than he'd ever seen. At first you slightly got on his nerves, however he was drawn to you, and as he became used to your behaviours you both eventually entered a relationship.
Law of course being new to all this was still navigating his feelings and emotions. You both took it slow, not really knowing much about each other, but slowly deciding to drop information here and there.
You had told Law you had a brother who was a pirate, but you never let Law believe that would effect your loyalties to his crew. You also never gave his name. It wasn't that you were trying to be secretive it just didn't cross your mind to tell him, and Law was stuck between needing to know, and not wanting to press his girlfriend further.
He figured if your brother was a big shot you'd have said right? So he must be a newbie, probably not even on the grand line.
The Polar Tang had arrived at an island known as the Sabaody Archipelago. The crew would be heading out in small groups, you went with Law, Shachi, Penguin and Bepo on a medical run. Law set a rule, and refused to let anyone go off alone. With other pirates, marines and celestial dragons, he didn't want to chance it, despite having a lot of trust in his crew.
"I heard there's a fairground here somewhere" Shachi excitedly spoke to you and Penguin, as the three of you squealed like children. "Everything here seems so magical, I can't wait to see it all" you beamed. "We're not" Law shut down.
"What?" You, Shachi and Penguin pouted. "We're not here for fun, as soon as the log pose is set we're leaving". You all deflated hearing your captains words, dragging your feet as you walked.
"Woah look at that" you pointed to a guy selling bubble bikes. Before anyone could even reply you ran off in excitement toward the bikes. The others looked to Law who held the bridge of his nose. You really were a pain.
"That's so cool" you and a boy said at the same time. "Hey mister I'd like one of those" you again both spoke. "Stop copying me" you both turned to the other, mirroring each others stance.
"Luffy" you suddenly gasped, as realisation hit you. "Yeah who are-" he started before he was struck with the same realisation. "Y/n" he chuckled, as you both pulled the other in for a hug. You couldn't believe your eyes, your little brother was stood here in front of you, you hadn't seen him for years now, the last time was when you set off to the seas.
The others eventually caught up, and Law stiffened upon seeing you hugging another man, a notorious pirate at that. "Strawhat Luffy" he evaluated. "Oh Luffy this is my Captain" you beamed, excited to get the two of them acquainted.
"You joined a crew? Good for you" he smiled, placing his hands on his hips. "Well you know I never wanted to be a Captain like you and Ace". Your face had a big grin slapped on it, like it usually did, but Law had never seen it so big and genuine before. "Law this is my little brother I was telling you about" you proudly announced, leaving the group in awe.
"You have to meet my crew" Luffy excitedly ushered, throwing all of Law's plans into disarray. Had you been an average member of his crew he would've told you to wrap it up, but as your partner he felt he couldn't tell you to leave, and so Law reluctantly followed along.
"Uh Captain is this okay?" Bepo asked as they loitered around in awkward silence as you became acquainted with your brothers crew. Law stood with his arms folded a small smile flashed for a second. "She's happy, give her some more time".
