Sunlight. Bright sunlight and a cool breeze were felt.

When she opened her eyes, Layontsin slowly discovered that she was in a forest. However...this one looked very different than the forest she knew and called home. The trees were completely different, as were the plants and grass that covered the ground. These trees were small or tall, as well as their leaves, and they came in other colors like green, orange and sometimes yellow. The sun shone more brightly than the usual one, as the light filtered though the leaves and branches of the forest with a more golden tint. As she began to sit and get up, she heard the sounds of this new forest. The rustling of the leaves, the chirping and squeaking of other creatures that were new to her, and the air that flowed around. The air here was was very thick, yet at the same time more fresh and cooler than that of her home. Soon Layontsin spotted the animals that made the entrancing chirping sounds, which were a sort of avian instead of a large insect or another creature, that flew and perched themselves on branches. Once in a while she flinched when she saw something small and furry skittering through the ground and climb up a tree to hide. And from afar, Layontsin could spot what looked like a larger animal with bone-like horns shaped like antlers.

The beauty of this new world enthralled her greatly as she slowly moved around, before she stopped as she listened to a new sound.

It sounded like na'vi children giggling while they played with each other, the sounds of running feet across the grass making Layontsin swivel her head. She spotted some shapes moving quickly through the branches, obscured by the bushes as they moved away from her. The anthro thanator began to follow them carefully as to not alert them or show her presence. After a moment she reached the place where they stopped, hiding herself behind one of the trees and bushes, and her eyes widened when she spotted them. The children where that of skypeople, young and small compared to those of the na'vi, just like Asim's sister Lily was as she remembered. The children each wore different kinds of colorful or dull-themed clothings and didn't seem to be wearing any kind of ornaments.

Everyone of the younger skypeople ran or crouched around as they played with each other, until an adult voice was heard calling through the forest. Layontsin could somewhat make out what they have said as the kids looked up and began to head to where the adult voice originated. Moving slowly so she wouldn't be spotted, Layontsin began to follow the children to where they headed. Moments later she spotted where they went, and noticed that it was their parents that called them. The parents were gathered around a clearing, with some of the land metal creatures behind them that looked rather non threatening and dormant. They smiled as they knelt down and hugged their respective sons and daughters, letting them talk and listen to the kids as they showed their parents what they have found in the forest. One pair noticed that some were missing and the my stepped forwards, calling out their names. Then she heard Asim's name called out, making Layontsin's head quills twitch, as she soon heard the response of the ones that were still in the forest. Layontsin's head turned towards the direction and went to search for them wherever they were. It took her a while for her to reach them as they were well hidden in the forest. When she finally reached the area, she gasped.

One of the two kids was Asim. Or, the younger version of him.

Young Asim was with what seemed to be his younger sister, his real younger sister, as this one did not look entirely like Lily but close enough that one could mistake them as twins side by side. Currently, the two of them, Asim and his real sister, were searching the forest for something. Until Asim went over to her sister and spotted that she had found some blue flowers. Layontsin remembered that Asim mentioned something about blue flowers from his world, which made her realize something.

This world was Asim's homeworld. The world of the skypeople. And this was a memory of him.

She looked around for a moment when she realized this before she focused back on the two kids. Asim's sister picked up some of the flowers and said something, to which Asim said something complimentary as he smiled and made her sister beam proudly. Layontsin was warmed by the scene of Asim and her real sister playing in the forest of their world. Their parents called them once more, and they got up to head back to them. Layontsin began to follow them once more, but then stopped when she heard a whistling sound come from above. The kids looked up at the sky as well, the whistling intensifying until there was a slight pause...before a strong explosion burst nearby. The shockwave from the blast threw the kids and Layontsin backwards, the blast causing her hearing to ring as she landed on the ground. Recovering from the explosion and with hearing slowly returning, the anthro thanator looked back up and over to the place, which has now caught on fire almost everywhere. Layontsin started to panic as her adrenaline increased and she saw the two children sprawled on the ground. Instinct took over when she immediately rushed over young Asim and her sister that were starting to recover from the blast shock, but then, when she reached to pick them up...her hands went right through them as if she herself were made out of smoke. It hit Layontsin again that this was a memory, and that she could only move and watch without ever interfering. Still, she wanted to help them despite this being a memory as it all felt real for her now.
