Only 1 week later and Cole was nearly fully recovered, with Adrian and Olivia's healing prowess they were able to speed up his recovery very swiftly and now all that was left for him was to open his eyes.

Dustin, Adrian and his parents were in the basement of their house talking and relaxing when suddenly.

"I-"

Adrian looks to his left wondering who said that and sees Cole mumbling to himself.

"Cole?" Adrian says.

I lie still on the grass, surprisingly soft and comforting like a blanket. The smell of the outside, so familiar yet.. strange at the same time.

My tongue was dry, my stomach growls softly, suddenly I hear something, a voice, it was approaching, then it was right in front of me, I open my eyes and am immediately met with the sun blinding me, after a few moments I see a face, who is this person?

It feels like I should know but.. I can't remember. When they suddenly say;

"-ou -lept 'or long 'nough?"

The words barely registered in his mind before he spoke once more.

"Can't you hear me?"

"Get up sleepyhead."

"I'm up!" He says childishly.

His arms were stuck up in the air like he was reaching for something, then he looks around and sees his friends around him.

"Wh-What?" Cole said shocked.

"COLE!"

Before he can react he is already wrapped in a tight embrace from Adrian. So he hugs him back.

"Oh damn, did your grip get tighter?" Cole says strained.

"Oh sorry I forgot." Adrian says nervously.

He lets him go.

"I started working out a bit, cause of you!" He beamed.

"Man, everyone's here huh?" Cole asks.

"Hey Cole, long time no see." Dustin perked up.

"Sup D." Cole says.

Dustin smiles when he hears that.

"Looking good Cole, you feeling alright?" Henrick asks him.

"Um, surprisingly yes, I actually feel pretty good right now." Cole responds shrugging.

"Hm, we will have to run some tests but it's great to have you back- wait a minute." Olivia says.

Everyone turns to look at her as she approaches Cole.

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small flashlight and looks into his left eye.

"Ow, that's bright." He winces.

"Mom what is it?" Adrian asks.

"I know for certain I did a full body inspection, your left eye was not blue before." Olivia states concerned.

"It's.. blue?" Cole asks confused.

She turns the flashlight off and hands him a mirror.

"Huh, that's kinda cool." He says casually.

Suddenly he begins hyperventilating when painful memories resurface.

He sees the man from the rooftop, his left arm reaches for him, he can feel his arm melting in his hands as he laughs and then- He forces himself not to remember any more, he couldn't handle that right now.

"Hey, Cole? You alright?" Adrian says.

"It's alright Cole just breath ok? Your not in danger right now." Olivia says calmly.

"Slow breaths, with me ok?"

Olivia walks him through a breathing technique that calms him down.

"Feel better now?" She asks kindly.

"Yeah, much better, thanks." Cole says a little embarrassed.

"Strange, I don't think any of the medication I gave you should've made you develop sudden heterochromia, I didn't perform surgery on your eye either.."

Olivia writes down something in her notebook as her proud husband comes to give her a big hug.

"Hey Cole, is your tattoo larger?" Dustin asks.

He looks at his left arm and sees that it spread down to his hand and up onto his shoulder and just barely reaching his neck.

"Oh, it did huh? I didn't even notice." Cole says nonchalant.

"You don't seem the least bit worried." Adrian says.

"Well, it doesn't feel much different, maybe a little heavier." Cole stated.

"Heavier?" Dustin & Adrian say.

"Yeah, it kind of feels more like a part of me now, you know?" Cole says confused at his own words.

"It.. does? That's strange." Adrian ponders.

"Yeah.. I thought so too.. well I don't think we should worry about it, I feel better now at least." Said Cole.

"Hm, alright then, if your ok with it." Adrian agreed.

So the group continues talking and they explain what happened in his absence.
