Cole and Adrian hurriedly open the door and find the entire room completely destroyed, the room was charred black like it'd been through a furnace, and it had a larger stain in the middle of the room next to Dustin like it'd been struck by lightning.

"Dustin?!" Adrian says as he quickly runs up to him.

"What the hell happened in here?" Cole comments.

When they reach Dustin they see him standing in the middle of the room unmoving, he'd also been charred black with his hair standing up.

Dustin turns around and is immediately met with Adrian jumping at him to see if he's ok.

"Whoa, wh-what's going on??" Dustin stumbles.

"Oh my god! Dustin are you alright?! We left you in here all alone, we figured you'd be ok-" 

"Ok ok! Calm down Adrian, I'm doing ok, I was just practicing a new technique!" Dustin interrupted.

"A new technique? Awesome! And it did all this? That's crazy." Says Cole amazed.

"Ah I see, that's great man." Adrian says letting go of Dustin.

"Yeah, I call it 'Lightning Strike' pretty cool huh?" Dustin proudly said.

"Huh, pretty on the nose I'd say" Cole remarks.

"Yeah well I bet you don't have any cool names for your fighting, all you do is punch." Dustin clapped back.

"Haha, alright you two, lets not get ahead of ourselves, we should probably stop for today, the damages we've made are almost out of our budget." Adrian explained.

"Aw man I wanted to see what Dustin had cooked up in here while we were gone." Cole said disappointed.

"It's alright, we'll have plenty of time for that next time." Adrian said smiling at him.

"Ok well, I'm gonna take a shower and I'll be ready to go, you too should also, you stink." Dustin says.

All 3 of them take showers and head home for the day. 

"To be honest I think we did minimal damage today." Cole says.

"Are you kidding? Dustin alone nearly took the walls down with that 'Lightning Strike' he used earlier." Adrian responded.

"I guess so, I could do better though." Cole said half joking. 

"Oh? Maybe we should settle this right now then?!" Dustin spoke up.

"What in the- since when did you two become so confrontational? Especially you Dustin." Adrian says confused.

"I'm not confrontating anyone." Cole shrugs.

"'Confrontating?' Wait no, don't distract me, what is up with you two?" Adrian asked.

"I dunno, I'm ok, Cole you seem a bit irritable." Dustin said plainly.

"I'm not-" He almost yelled until he noticed something.

Cole suddenly realized he was uncharacteristically angry and stopped to think why.

"I uh... well I don't know, it feels like my emotions are heightened for some reason I.. yeah." Cole tried explaining.

"Well so are mine." Adrian said.

"What?" Asked Cole.

Dustin looked at the 2 of them and realized something.

"Well.. us 3 certainly have gotten close over these couple months, haven't we?" Dustin said.

"I guess we have huh?" Said Cole.

"Hell yeah we have!" Adrian says happily.

"Yeah.. You know what I'm gonna go ahead of you guys and head home." Dustin says.

"Isn't your home this way though Dustin?" Adrian asked.

"It's alright, I know a shortcut. I'll see you guys tomorrow." 

Dustin turns around and waves goodbye.

"Well then, guess were alone now." Cole says.

"Yeah." Adrian responded.

They sit in an awkward silence for a couple minutes before Cole speaks up.

"So.. um.. Adrian?" Cole said nervously.

"Y-Yeah?" 

"Weren't you um.. gonna say something earlier?" Cole says trying to maintain his calm demeanor.

"Oh, right.. I- Yeah I was." Said Adrian.

They were both sweating and avoiding eye contact.

"So.. um Cole, can I ask you something..?" Adrian says.

"Y-Yes."

"...Can I, do you want to-"

But before he could finish Cole softly grabbed his head and made it so they were now facing each other, and without thinking, he kissed him.

(I wasn't sure where to put this song but I thought it fit the situation well)
