"I'm a bit sad to be missing it," Chris said from his chair in his childhood room. Him and Lauren were currently facetiming as she was getting ready to go downstairs to the party and Chris would also be heading out shortly for a stag party in Jersey.
"You know this lot, there will be tons of other opportunities soon, plus you've got some stags coming up with Vik and Simon," Lauren replied as she finished her mascara off.
"For the life of me I will never understand why people spend hours doing stuff to their face when it barely makes a difference," Chris gave a confused face as he watched Lauren put her makeup on. To him she looked good either way so didn't know why she bothered, especially when it went wrong and she needed to start all over again feeling frustrated.
"Makes me feel better about myself, anyway you said you liked my lipstick," Lauren waved it towards the camera before placing it on.
"I do, it's part of you but what I'm saying is you look just as good without all of the other stuff," Chris shrugged and Lauren smiled at the compliment.
"Can't wait to see you when you're back." The redhead admitted looking at the blond boy on the screen. Ever since she had that very brief conversation with Harry the day before Chris was definitely on her mind most of the time, she watched him now his lovely eyes, his dimples when he smiled as he was doing in that moment, his jawline now perfectly accentuated by his facial hair, the way his t-shirt was clinging onto his chest and shoulders.
"I can come to you Monday if you want? I've got some filming towards the end of the week but at the beginning I'm just going to be in the office a lot having meetings."
"Sounds perfect. I'm going to go. I can hear the music already. You have fun tonight."
"You too. Oh and take a picture it lasts longer," Chris laughed and Lauren started to go red, did he catch her staring.
"What?" She managed to choke out hoping to brush it off slightly but if she knew Chris like she did there was no chance.
"I mean I don't blame you staring. I'm a catch."
"I mean you're being a bit of an arrogant twat right now but apart from that I kind of agree with you."
"I've been thinking," Chris started but was quickly cut off by Lauren.
"That's dangerous," she smirked and winked. Chris ignored the remark and continued.
"Dan, the guy who's stag do it is, their wedding is next month and I was thinking maybe if you wanted to come with me? I've got a plus one and I was walking along the beach earlier and thought that you'd love it, I know you love a good walk and great views." Chris leaned back in his chair and placed his hands behind his head in order to look casual, also he knew it would accentuate his muscles slightly. On the inside however his heart was pounding, waiting desperately for Lauren's answer. Lauren was shocked to say the least, she wasn't expecting it in the slightest although it did make sense. He was there for a stag do and they were probably going to ask him who he was bringing to the wedding.
"Sure, sounds like fun." Lauren smiled and Chris's smile went so wide it almost hurt.
"Great, well have fun tonight and make sure the police aren't called," Chris joked before the two said goodbye and they hang up. His date at a wedding, Lauren thought as she put her heels on, wondering if Harry is right.
"I fucking hate it when Harry's right." Lauren groaned to herself before spritzing herself with perfume and making her way downstairs.
"LOZ!" Cal screamed when he opened the door.
