"Why are you guys late, you practically live here," Harry whined when Chris and Lauren got to the airport. Everyone was meeting at the airport at eight am and it was currently seven minutes past.

"I'm sorry that you picked the airport that's furthest from our new house," Chris replied. They were only a few minutes late. He didn't understand the problem, it wasn't like they were going to miss their flight they still had two hours to kill.

"That sounds like a you problem my friend," Harry retorted.

"Come on, let's get through security and calm my nerves," Lauren said her voice wavering a little, man did she ever hate flying.

"Wait so you've never skied before?" Arthur asked Lauren as they stood outside of their cabins ready to go and Lauren was feeling very apprehensive about the whole thing.

"No, not all of us have rich tax dodging parents," Lauren replied a little bit in jest. Unlike a lot of her peers she grew up in a very working class family and money was often tight. She didn't even own a passport until she was eighteen and had a job as well as her then very small Youtube channel.

"You know you're just shitting on your boyfriend as well when you say that?" Arthur replied and Lauren shrugged.

"Same goes for him too," She replied with no qualms. It wasn't serious, her and Chris would often exchange jabs not in a malicious way.

"What, you shit on him? Didn't expect that," that was George, Lauren simply elbowed him from her side and Chris also heard it and gave him a swift kick in the shin.

"Ow what the fuck was that for?" George cried out holding both areas in pain.

"Being a twat," Lauren replied simply, she had a slight smile in her eyes letting George know she wasn't really too upset.

"You know you were a lot nicer before getting involved with him," George said to Lauren rubbing his arm still.

"I have no idea where this reputation of me being nice has come from, just ask Harry." Lauren stated.

"I concur, she's a right pain in the arse. People just think she's nice because she'll bake you some brownies while she gives you a sarcastic comment," Harry agreed and Lauren nodded along giving a 'see' look to George who simply shrugged, not sure how to comment, he didn't know Lauren as well as most other people there so he instead turned his attention to Chris.

"No I think your stinky short man attitude rubbed off on her," George said to Chris who scowled.

"I'm short AND I'm ginger, I never had a chance," Lauren defended Chris a little. Sure he was cranky and depressed a little when Shannon left but things were different now, his smile could light up a room well it lit up her heart well enough.

Lauren had to admit, skiing was not her forte, they had only been doing it for twenty minutes but she was already wanting to call it quits.

"It's too hard!" She whined to Harry who had the near impossible task of coaching her.

"You just need to lean a bit more," he tried to explain. While he was undoubtedly the best skier he wasn't a very good teacher. He didn't have any instructions other then 'do this' and showing. Lauren's problem was direction, she kept going off course and losing everyone then panicking because she was alone and would have no one to help her if she hurt herself.

"I'm leaning as far as I can, I lean anymore and I'm going to go arse over tit."

"At least it will be entertaining."

"You're not funny."

"Then why was I voted funniest Sideman?"

"Because they probably asked a load of teenage girls who just want to get in your pants."
