𝑴𝑰𝑨 𝑯𝑨𝑫 taken Dom to see the crash site per his request, leaving Christiana, Jesse, and Eli at home. Specifically, Christiana and Jesse were now stuck with Eli, who—unsurprisingly—had hundreds of questions.

"Wait, so he's back... like legally?" Eli asked, pacing back and forth in front of Christiana.

"Well... no," Christiana admitted hesitantly, crossing her arms.

Eli stopped mid-step, his expression shifting to disbelief. "What do you mean 'well, no'?!"

"What do you think I mean when I say 'no,' Eli?" Christiana replied, her tone clipped. "He's here illegally."

"You're telling me there's a fugitive running around the city with my fiancée?" Eli asked, his voice rising with frustration.

"At least it's her brother," Christiana said, trying to soften the blow.

Eli frowned, running a hand over his face. "Christiana, that doesn't make it better. If anything, that makes it worse. What happens if they get caught?"

Christiana hesitated, looking away briefly before answering. "Dom wouldn't let anything happen to Mia. He's her brother. He'd protect her with his life."

"That's not the point," Eli said sharply, his brown eyes narrowing. "Love doesn't stop the law from throwing them both in prison. And if they're caught, Mia is done. There's no way out of that."

Christiana exhaled slowly, her frustration mounting. "Look, I know this isn't ideal, but Dom is family. He's not going to let anything happen to her."

Eli shook his head, his voice quieter but no less firm. "And what happens if he can't stop it? You might trust him, but this isn't some small mistake. We're talking about harboring a fugitive."

Christiana opened her mouth to respond but was interrupted by Jesse's voice calling from upstairs.

"Mom!" Jesse yelled, his footsteps thundering down the stairs.

Christiana turned toward him. "Hey JJ"

"Mom!" Jesse called again as he reached the bottom of the stairs, his eyes wide with urgency.
