1 Yr Later,
It was now their senior year, Bucky was playing in the 4th game of the season. It was Bianca's death anniversary. He was loaded and drunk while he played, he was a mess on the field.
He was tackled hard to the ground, and was knocked out. When he wasn't getting up the coaches and medical team was on the field as James stood up.
"Get up son come on you are tougher than this my boy." James whispered as Marcia stood up.
Zantana and Susie joined them, as they all got nervous. He was put on a stretcher when he did come to and he tried to walk but he couldn't. James, Marcia and the girls met up at the hospital.
"James Barnes IV is my son." James said once they arrived.
The nurse looked at her screen, "He is currently in radiology, Dr Weston Burkett will be with you shortly." The nurse said
"Thank you." He said
He joined the girls as he sat down in the waiting area. Forty five minutes later Dr Weston Burkett came out the nurse pointed out the family.
"Mr Barnes, your son is being admitted. After running tests we discovered he has blown his knee he tore his ACL and MCL. I have a opening in the morning to do the surgery then he will have six weeks of therapy. He also suffered a concussion, but what concerns me is we found opioids in his system as well as marijuana and alcohol." He said
"Damn it son." James whispered
"Can we see him?" Susie said
"Yes you may. He's been asking for a Susie Q." Dr Burkett said
"That's me." Susie said as they all followed a nurse.
They went into the room, he pulled Susie in for a kiss. "You and Zan are going to have to take care of me. This really sucks cause my dream for the NFL is gone." He said
"Yeah and you better hope I can pull strings to keep your ass in college to finish your degree cause Im sure the football program is about to kick your ass off." James said
Bucky looked down.
"Lets not discuss that right now. Do you want pizza James? Cause after midnight you can't eat." Marcia said
"Yes please." He said
Marcia and James left, Zantana left to clear out their house in case the college decided to come searching their place. Susie stayed with him and laid with him.
"Oh Susie Q what am I going to do now?" He whispered as she fell asleep.
