A week later,
It was fall break, Bucky had Claire meet him at the town square. They ate hot dogs and chips as they sat at the fountain.
"Claire the reason why I said to come without Morgan is because we need to talk." He said
"Ok.." she said
"Um, I think that I may have jumped a little fast into this relationship. I um I think you are amazing and beautiful. But um I almost relapsed last week and after a few meetings and therapy sessions I have come to realize that I used you as a way to numb myself to move past something else in my life. So this is where I will end our relationship I'm sorry." He said
Claire swallowed hard, "I knew something was wrong the last month or so. I understand that you need to do this for yourself. But I'm always here if you need a friend or a playdate for Mason." She said
He hugged her, "I'm so sorry Claire. I told you that I'm a mess and I come with baggage." He whispered then he kissed her cheek.
The next morning Bucky got on a flight to New Hampshire to win Miranda back. He found her on campus at Dartmouth almost didn't recognize her since she cut her hair.
"Miranda?" He said as he found her sitting against a tree.
She looked up, and saw him. "Go home.." she said as she stood up.
"Miranda I just want to talk." He said as he followed her.
"No..go home to Seattle." She said as she disappeared into the crowd.
