Two and half years later,
Bucky was now living on his own and teaching full time now. He was now a highschool science teacher and the football coach at his old highschool. He was making notes on the board for 1st period Biology class.
"Morning Coach Barnes." Miranda Sanchez said as she came in.
"Good morning to my favorite student I think you are early for Chemistry." He said as he closed his marker.
She let out a laugh, "I made copies of the consent forms for the science club field trip and new membership forms since today is the first meeting of the New Year. So here you go." She said as she handed him the copies.
"Thank you Miranda. This is why you won the vote with me and Mrs Wilson for club president." He said as he put them with the science club folder.
She smiled at him, "Well I better get to AP Spanish." She said
"Ok, see you in fifth period." He said as she walked out.
After school everyone that was in science club or wanted to join met in Bucky's classroom before football practice. Bucky watched Miranda in amazement as she led the first meeting.
Wanda leaned over, "We picked a good one she's so incredibly smart." Wanda whispered
"Yes she is." He said as he smiled.
That afternoon after he was done with practice, he met Susie at the park where they had dinner and he got to spend time playing with Mason. Bucky still wasn't allowed to keep him no matter how much he has proved to the court and to Susie that he is clean and sober, working a full time job and responsible.
After Susie put Mason in the car, Bucky said "Susie I would like for us to change the custody agreement. I have a room for him, I'm going to meetings and I've been clean and sober for two years." He said
"The answer is no. I will never be able to trust you with him." She said as she got in her car.
"But Susie-." He said as she shut the door.
Bucky cried when he got home and sat in the room he made up for Mason.
