Two days later,
It was Saturday night, Miranda drove herself over to Bucky's place for their first "date" but since they knew they couldn't go out Bucky said they would have it at his place. Bucky made their dinner and dessert. He even made the table look romantic with candles and dimmed the lights.
"You know when I said.." she said when he took her into the room.
He kissed her, "Shut up..maybe I want to do a little romance." He whispered as he kissed her neck.
Once they sat down, he looked over at her.
"You know that people will question this age gap Randa." He said
She looked down, "I know..but I don't like the boys my age. My grandmother has always told me I have an old soul. Like I told you I'm not a hopeless romantic I just want to be with someone that matches me. I may be 17 but I'm already taking my basic college courses as a junior. I have Big plans for my future that I have had since I was 5 years old." She said
He smirked, "Sweetheart I may seem like I have it all together. But I'm no where near the guy you must have in your head." He said
She smiled at him, "Everybody has a past James. Nobody is perfect." She said
"I'm far from it Randa, and I'm afraid if I tell you about me the man behind the teacher you see that you'll change your mind and see me differently." He said
She looked down, "The man I call my father isn't my biological dad. My bio dad is in prison..he was arrested when he was 22 cause he got mixed into the wrong crowd during his junior year of college while my mom was pregnant with me. She has been very honest with me and we go see him. He was arrested cause they got drunk and high he was driving and hit a family it killed all but the baby that was in the car. They were all charged..and put in prison. She met Francis my dad when she was headed to the hospital to have me he was a Dental Student and headed to his car when he seen her and my sister running in the parking lot to her car. He took her to the ER and the rest is history he stayed by her side and she found out he was single dad with two kids." She said
"Miranda, I'm a recovering addict and alcoholic and divorced. I have a 3 year old son that I'm not allowed to see really. I've been sober and clean two and half years but my ex wife still doesn't trust me. She left me cause I was in a car accident with him and I was high and drunk." He said
"That's not so bad. Anything else I should know?" She said
"I was a twin, I have abandonment issues and um my parents are divorced." He said
"Was a twin?" She said confused
"My sister committed suicide when we were 15. It was awful I felt it all at football practice my body just physically shut down I was sick I passed out and felt my sister die." He said
"Whoa..Twin esp." she said
"Yeah that's what the doctors called it." He said
After dinner he fed her dessert, then they cuddled up on his couch to watch a movie. They made out and played around with each other till she had to go home.
