CHAPTER-16

Her emerald eyes shine as the moonlight covers her face. Her glossy lips are smiling cheekily making me smile automatically.

"Do you know how pretty you are looking right now, Shy?"

"No! You tell me." She smirked and leaned closer to me.

"As pretty as the beautiful moon is shining right now in the sky." I said as I removed a strand of her hair which was not allowing me to take a glance of her whole face.

"That's it?" She said as the smirk in her face expanded.

"You can't take all the freaking compliments today Shyla Gilbert. Let some be there for tomorrow." I said as I hit her head playfully and her loud laugh came out.

"You better save some of your flirty lines for tomorrow Mr.Jacob Roy!"

Soon the whole room was filled with our laughter.

I miss those days when my laugh was real. When she was there in my life. When I woke up in the morning with the thought that a girl like Shyla Gilbert is in my life. But everything was ruined.

One day, it took just one day to ruin everything. My whole life was taken away from me and I had to live like an isolated fellow unknown from everyone's sight.

But not anymore. It's your time now. It's you who have to beg now. It's you who have to die now. It's you who have to lose now.

"Jacob is dead now Shyla, and no fucking person can change that fact now. You have to get over him." Linda said as a serious expression covered her whole face.

"What was the letter then?" Ave's voice came out as she was sitting on a chair while looking down.

"Oh common Avelin! That must be some kid trying to prank us. Don't let it affect us. I am sure it's just a prank." Linda replied instantly.

"Are you convincing us or yourself Linda? I am sorry but I just can't pretend like nothing happened when such incidents are happening with Shyla. Look Shy, I am not gonna fake console you so I am gonna say this to you straight. I think something is wrong. Something is wrong from the very day when we went to the club and I sensed it when I saw your terrified face after you told that you saw that person."
Ave said as she stood up and came near me.

"What do you think Ave? Everything that I saw that day, was it all true?" I asked as Ave sighed.

"I don't know Shyla. But the only thing I know is that you have to very careful from now on. I don't want anyone to hurt you." She replied as she caressed my back.

"I am on this with Ave. And I promise Shy, I will not let that fucker to even lay a hand on you." Linda says as she came and hug me tight.

My lips smiled as the tears already came out of my eyes. All I ever wished for in my whole life is to get one true friend who would always be there in my ups and downs.

But god was in my favour that I got two of the most beautiful women inside and out who were always there with me in every step of my life and are still there with me holding me tight whenever I tend to fall down.
