"Remember the days when we were actually bunking our classes to go into clubs that too illegally?" Ryan sipped his drink with his eyes fixed on the stage.
"Getting distracted Baldwin?" I smirked as his eyes snapped towards me in a second.
"What? Can't I just look at certain somewhere?"
"You aren't looking at certain somewhere Baldwin. You are looking at certain someone.
I said as his eyes turned back towards the dance floor."She's annoyingly hot." His lips curved into a little smile looking at the woman who is owning the dance floor from a good twenty minutes.
"And it would be better for you to look at the person for whom you bashed into this club" he said rolling his eyes.
My eyes instantly fell on the drinks counter where she was standing a few minutes ago. The sight of her not being there at the counter made my eyes flicker in confusion.
Did she leave the place? Did she go to the restroom? Did she go outside?
All these questions were roaming around my head when my eyes fell on one of her friend who dragged the other one from the dance floor towards outside.A part of my heart was telling me to follow them while a part of my mind was thinking it as some creepy shit.
"Should we go outside then?" Ryan's voice came into my ear.
I looked at him and then at the exit door.
"No." As I finally convinced myself to not act like a creep and follow them everywhere.
"Cool." Ryan replied as he continued ordering drinks.
After spending a restless fifteen minutes inside the club with my mind still fixed on wondering about the reason why she left the place so soon and the tensed faces of her friends who followed her outside, I stood up from the chair determined to go outside and check for once.
"Already leaving?" Ryan looked up towards me and asked.
"We both are leaving. Enough of your drinks." I took the glass of wine from his hands and kept it at the counter infront of us.
Turning around I moved towards the exit as Ryan followed me.
Coming out of that place finally breathing the fresh air after a whole hour of breathing the rancid smell of alcohol inside the club made me sigh with relief.
My eyes scanned the whole parking area outside. But there was no sign of the person I wanted to see for once.
I turned back when I felt a hand in my shoulder.
Ryan signalled me towards my right. As I turned around, a wave of relief crossed my heart when my eyes fell on the the person for whom I had been restless for the past twenty minutes.
Her head hung low with two of her friends sitting on either side of her. Their faces clearly held worry. Her teary eyes looked up towards me as she obviously sensed someone standing at some distance infront of her.
As her teary eyes met mine, my heart clenched with some unknown reason. All I wanted to is to run towards her and hold her in my arms till all her sorrows vanish somewhere inside me.
The feeling of her being around me is something which can never be described. The heart which was dead for so many years feels like it finally came into life whenever she looked at me. Never in my whole life have my eyes pictured anyone in front of me whenever I think of love but I think now it does. She never talked to me, yet her eyes have already said a thousand languages to mine. All I can think is that even if she breaks my heart, I will still be standing there to let her break it for one more time.
Her eyes looked away as she could not hold the eye contact for too long. She always does it and I love to see it.
Three of them stood up as they were ready to leave the place.
She walked past me as the soothing fragrance of her perfume made its way towards my nose. A sound of something falling made me look towards the floor. My eyes spotted a golden bracelet which probably fell of her jeans.
"You dropped something Ms." My voice reached out to her.
Her blonde hair flipped when she turned around to look at me.
Reaching out to the bracelet, I picked it up.
"I guess it fell out of my pocket! Thanks for telling" her lips smiled a bit as she extended her hands towards me in order to get the bracelet.
I have seen her smiling a lot of times but this time it was a lot more special because it's the first time she was smiling at me.
"It's okay" I gave the bracelet to her when our hands brushed a bit making my heart go insane. Her eyes which were now a little red probably due to crying widened after listening to me.
The urge to ask her the reason why she left the club suddenly and what or who made her this upset was making me feel restless. I jerked all those thoughts as I felt it would make her uncomfortable if I interfered so much in her life after meeting her for a couple of times only. Jerking off the thoughts I smiled and walked past her towards outside.
SHYLA
My eyes were not able to blink after I saw the small smile on his lips.
The way his lips were perfectly curved to form a gorgeous smile made my heart beat faster than ever.
He walked past me as the euphoric smell of his perfume made its way towards my nostrils.
I don't know him. We have met each other a couple of times just coincidencially yet I was surprised by the fact that he has so much effect over me. His eyes somehow always find their way to make me nervous whenever he looks at me.
But his voice- which I have had heard just for once in the Frisson Expresso in NYC when we first met. After all these months when I heard it again it still felt like the first time. His deep voice reached near my feet.
The incident which took place today just in this particular place seemed to have vanished from my mind for a bit when he was standing in front of me while showing that gorgeous smile of his.
My thoughts jerked off when I heard a voice behind me.
"What are you doing there?"
