EVAN

"I think he probably has someone who is helping him to get all the information regarding our plan." Marcus said while sitting in front of me with a serious expression. His eyes were scanning his laptop while his legs were continuously shaking as if he was anxious about something.

"Any problem?" I asked him, seeing the strange way he was reacting. He has been sitting here in my room since I came after meeting Shyla with his eyes fixed on his laptop.

"Did you meet Shyla?" He asked out of nowhere. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Why would he even ask about Shyla so suddenly?

"Yes I did." I replied which made him release a heavy sigh. He leaned his head back on the sofa in which he was seated on.

"Make sure to keep an eye on her." He said which made me even more confused.

"I always have my eyes for her. You don't have to worry about it." I said as he sit back up and stared at me for some seconds.

"I think that man is planning something huge. You should keep Shyla safe." He said as a small chuckle left my mouth instantly after hearing his words.

"Over my dead body I would let anyone to even lay eyes on her." I said as he closed his laptop and diverted all his attention towards me.

"Jacob is back to New York. We made sure that he doesn't get the information about us coming back here but he did. There has to be someone who is sending all these informations to him. And I am afraid that this might ruin our plan." He said as I clenched my fist in anger. The name of that man is enough for me to mentally kill him.

"We should be careful from now on then." I replied as he nodded in response.

So you have a person to stalk me now bloody Jacob? So naive of you.

SHYLA

After getting drenched in the heavy rain outside, all I can feel now is cold noses, shrivelled fingers and a warm heart. From the past years, I have hated rain but today I breathed it's fragrance. It's miraculous power which instilled a little drop of hope inside me.
A hope regarding my future with Evan. Coming out of the washroom after having a warm shower, I got changed into my comfy pajamas. The wet hairs falling down on my shoulder reminding me of the drenched experience I've had just some moments ago.

"Wait- so this is going on since the Bali trip?" Avelin said in a loud voice as my attention diverted towards her. She somehow managed to start the conversation which I've left incomplete before going to bath. I gulped and nodded in response while taking a seat beside her in the bed.

"That person you bumped into in the Frisson Expresso was Evan Kavinsky?" Linda asked with her widened eyes as I again nodded in response.

"He broke into our lecture just because you didn't text him?" Avelin asked again with a louder voice than the previous time as I undoubtedly nodded my head in response.

Suddenly I felt a hard smack on my face with a pillow which was kept beside me. Avelin Morgan smacked my face with a pillow. Even before processing, Avelin again smacked the pillow harder in my face. As I extended my hands to stop her.
"Shyla Gilbert. I thought I told you to stay away from those jerks. But you decided to date the worst jerk among them." Avelin said and smacked the pillow again my head.

"That's not my fault. It just happened." I said as Avelin finally stopped and sit back down while thinking about something.

"Is he good with you?" She asked as the picture of Evan came infront of my eyes. The day when we first met. That day in Bali when we had our first conversation. That day when we all went to the Uluwatu Temple. And especially this day when we both confessed. He has acted as a jerk many a times but the way my heart beats whenever the jerk is around is enough to tell me how much I actually love him.
