EVAN
Walking out of the university campus with my fastened pace, I got into my car while dialing a number in my phone. Rage running through my veins as all I can see right now is red. Turning the steering wheel, my eyes remain fixated on the road as I heard the person's voice on the other side of the call.
"Find that bastard right now or else be ready to die today." I said the person and instantly cut off the call without waiting for their response.
Rubbing my face with my free hand while the other hand abruptly turned the steering wheel towards a certain direction, my mind was filled with utter irritation and disappointment.
Disappointed by my own self. Because I let that bastard reach Shyla. The person who should have been dead by now went to Shyla and even had the nerve to talk with her. All I wanted to do now is to kill that person in every worst way possible.
I stopped the car when I reached my destination and instantly parked it. Getting out of the car, my steps moved towards the lavishly built house. My steps stopped near the door as my hand reluctantly made its way towards the doorbell and ringed it almost thrice before a middle aged woman opened it with a smile plastered on her lips. I returned the smile gladly as she stood aside allowing me to get inside the house.
I walked inside and a familiar scent of the room surrounded me. The potraits hanging on the wall with the pictures of the people who were so familiar to me yet so distant. The corners of the house which hold so many anamnesis that my mind couldn't help but reminisce about. The rusty smell of the old furniture evoked the nostalgic feeling inside me as I made my way towards the figure who sat there in a wheelchair probably looking at somewhere.
Her back facing me with her silky brunette hair falling on her shoulders. The sound of my footsteps made her position straight as she somehow felt my presence behind her. Turning the wheels of her wheelchair she turned around towards me.
The beam of the sunlight coming through the glass windows hit her face as her brown eyes dilated and shined brighter seeing me. Her dry lips curved into a beautiful smile as I saw her letting out a heavy breath.
I walked closer to her and kneeled down to reach her. My hands made its way towards her hairs as I slowly caressed her head while gulping down thousands of worries which got filled up in my throat on my way here. Her comparatively smaller hands made its way towards my face shakily as she held it gently. The tears in her eyes fell down as she leaned forward and instantly wrapped her hands around my neck.
I closed my eyes and felt the little sob which left her mouth. I caressed her back as I felt her tears in my neck.
"I missed you." I heard her soft voice which broke making my heart crumble into pieces.
She pulled away as her teary eyes looked at me with innocence."I missed you too, Emi!" I said as a tear again fell from her eyes. I wiped it away and kissed her forehead softly.
"Are you doing fine?" I asked as she abruptly nodded her head with a little smile plastered on her face.
"Did you confess?" She asked as her tone held excitement in it. My lips instantly curved into a smile as I patted her head gently.
"I did." I said as she chuckled excitedly.
"She accepted?" She asked as I nodded my head in response.
She clapped her hands in excitement as a chuckle left my mouth seeing her excitement.
"Can I see her now?" She asked desperately as I smiled and held her face gently.
"Soon, Emi" I said as she widened her smile.
