| Y/N's POV |
I was awoken by the sound of several footsteps walking around my room. I sat up, unconsciously pulling the covers over my body to cover myself as I notice Hailee, next to a few unknown women, and three men who looked like her bodyguards.
"Out." Hailee demanded to the men, keeping eye contact with me as she pointed to the door. The women stayed by her side though, looking everywhere around the room.
"What's... going on?" I scratch the side of my head, slowly realizing that was wearing underwear and just one of Hailee's oversized hoodies. I stood up from the bed, hesitantly taking a few steps towards the brunette who never took her eyes off me.
"I'm taking you out." She said, in a matter-of-fact tone. "Outside. Shopping." Hailee continued to explain shortly as she set down a new pair of clothes for me.
"Really?" I couldn't help but be a little excited, I haven't been outside in a while. Hailee only nodded, before clearing her throat.
"By the way, these are my friends." She pointed to the women who now looked up at us. "Florence." She pointed to the blonde who nodded with a tight lipped smile. "Zendaya." She then pointed to a light-skinned girl. "And Taylor." She finally pointed to a girl who smiled at me.
"So, you're the infamous Y/N?" Florence asked, smirking at Hailee who growled something unreadable under her breath.
I furrow my brows, a smile of confusion forming on my face. "Y-yeah?" I chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of my neck.
Before Florence could say anything else, Hailee cut her off. "Enough." She held up a hand to her friend. "Get dressed, Y/N." She soon demanded, her guard being put back up as she and the three women made their way out of my room, not before Hailee's friends all threw me a wink with a kind smile.
I watched as the door was now shut, glancing over at the new clothes I was given, I examine them. Everything was baggy, considering that seemed to be everything Hailee basically owned. This time it was a plain white tee with blue sweats. I was now given a white checkered flannel instead of a hoodie and shoes as well. Simple white converse though.
I quickly changed, walking into the bathroom. I looked into the mirror as I fixed my hair, brushing my teeth. After one last glance I was finished, just in time for Hailee, who happened to open the door as soon as I walked out. She looked over my outfit, nodding in approval as she opened the door wider for me.
"Let's go." She nodded and I was quick to follow, walking out the door but I remained close to her, considering I had no clue where I was going, this mansion was practically a maze. "Follow me." Hailee was hesitant hold her hand out for me, but she did anyway, I made sure that I was eager to take it, holding it tightly as she guided me through a series of hallways.
I kept a tight hold of her hand, her hand was warm and soft, it was very comforting. I smiled to myself before we stopped at a big, wooden door. Hailee pulled out some sort of key card, holding it up to the buzzer attached to the door that buzzed her in, allowing us inside. She opened it for me, letting me go first as we entered this room that looked somewhat like a lobby.
"Jeremy." Hailee called out, a man with black hair turned to us. "Get the car." She demanded and he was quick to follow the orders he was given, fumbling with the car keys that the taller girl tossed him. "We need to be low key. Remember, I'm still wanted in almost every part of the world." Hailee whispered in my ear, her raspy tone sent shivers down my spine that I didn't even care or take notice into anything she said.
"Okay." I just nodded mindlessly, staring up at her as her features pushed me into a trance. Hailee turned her gaze down from the man getting the car to me, furrowing her brows at my staring.
"What?"
"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you actually are?" I mutter, tilting my head with curiosity in my eyes and tone. I could've sworn there was a dust of red painting her cheeks but Hailee was quick to turn away.
Ignoring my statement, the taller girl pulled my hand along with her, pulling me outside and my eyes had to physically adjust to the bright sunlight that I haven't seen in quite some time. Hailee let my hand go, me frowning internally at the feeling of missing her warmth. She opened the car door for me, pulling a baseball cap on her head to cover her face.
As I entered the car, I took notice of the nice leather seats, it seemed to be a very expensive model that she owned. I slid over, watching Hailee slide a $20 bill inside Jeremy's hands. He smiled at her, giving her a thumbs up before walking away. Hailee soon got inside the car, sitting next to me as she shut the door, immediately locking it and pulling the window curtains closed.
I gawked at the interior of this car, but I was pulled out my trance when I felt Hailee's hand on mine, her thumb rubbing over my knuckles. I looked up at her, seeing her gaze completely turned away from me, keeping her eyes on the view outside the window as I smile to myself, giving her a small reassuring squeeze before turning to look out my own window.
